Decided to have lunch here with our children and grandchildren for our 30th wedding anniversary - mainly because the Portmeirion Hotel was only serving bar snacks - but we were so glad we did. The food was lovely, the surroundings impressive and the staff very friendly and accommodating - we wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.
Another thing to bear in mind is that after you've eaten, you're given free entry into Portmeirion Village, which makes the meal a bargain really as entry is £10 per adult! Makes for a value for money visit and one definitely worth making!

Dined here and couldn't fault a thing. Service was very good and the food was excellent. Not a huge range on the menu but everything was prepared and presented beautifully.

We had high hopes for this lunch but were put at the back end of the part empty restaurant. The food was very average so was expensive for the price. I assume they had to get back the ticket price for the village complex visit. My advice would be to eat else where and pay full price for the village visit.

The castle looked impressive on the outside, and the setting was lovely with great views over the gardens to the sea below. We were given a window seat so we could take it all in. On the downside, the service was pleasant but glacially slow. We were keen to be reasonably quick as we wanted to see the village and had a two year old in tow who didn't have much patience. We chased for the main courses and chased for the desserts. It took two hours from being seated paying the bill. The main courses were OK burgers, fish and chips etc. The desserts were much better.

Dined here on two evenings.Found all staff to be very pleasant and very helpful.Estela is a delightful waitress. But all staff equally pleasant.

Food was well presented, tasty and all courses enjoyed by all.Wine was good and a good choice not overly expensive.

Would highly recommend this as your ideal restaurant whilst visiting the area, for locals to dine and also folk staying in Portmerion Village.
