We stayed in the hotel for two nights for my sons wedding. Never having been to Portmeirion, I was amazed at what a unique settlement it is, set in amazing grounds. The outside of the castell itself is interesting if not particularly attractive but the interior with its mock finishes is really atmospheric and the conservatory restaurant area, with views over the estuary is spectacular. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff could not be more obliging. It was a wonderful venue for a wedding and well worth spending a couple of nights here. Eating out, has the option of the restaurants in the village, a basic Italian and a fine dining hotel. Overall I can really recommend a visit. If you have not been before, I am sure you will be blown away!
