“Such a beautiful place”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

We were traveling in our small motor home and we were pleased to find that parking was very easy with no overhead height restrictions, right next to the village entrance. After a nice welcome at the entrance we paid our £9 concession entrance fee. Although it was a nice day, the village wasn't too crowded and we ambled around going oooh and ahhh at all the beautifully coloured buildings, pools and the very clever concrete ship near the beach. The views are amazing down to the beach and there are plenty of places to just sit and take it all in.
I would say that although we are fairly fit for pensioners, the hills and steps did prove to be a bit of a strain on the old legs though! But it was worth it.
We had coffee and a snack and wished we were some of the lucky people that were staying at the hotel or any of the other building available to rent. It must feel quite magical to wake up in a place like that!

“Expensive”
Reviewed 10 June 2014 via mobile

Enjoyed our visit but at the cost of £10 each we both consider it overrated. Really did not think it was worth the cost of the entrance fee. £5 would have been much more realistic. The shops were rip off prices so take your own food and drink. So glad we were not with children as then we could not have afforded the entrance fee.

“Just Go !!!!”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

A place I have always wanted to go and at age 72 finally made it and was not disappointed in fact it surpassed my expectations. My 19 year old grand daughter also loved it very much. Absolutely stunning.

Wanted to stay there but rather expensive - however on reflection wished i had pushed the boat out, would have been worth it as it is so very special.

“beautiful village”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

The 60's tv programme "The Prisoner" was filmed in this lovely little picturesque village. The scenery is beautiful and there is a lot to see even though the village is small. Take your camera.
The man at the ticket office was so friendly and helpful especially when he saw I use crutches and we had great service when we had coffee in the hotel down at the beach. However the rest of the people serving in the shops really need to improve their customer service. They looked bored and so gloomy as if they would rather be anywhere else than there. Smile, for goodness sake, it costs nothing
