“Be Seeing You!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

In the words of No.6 from TV's the Prisoner (which was filmed here), we will 'be seeing you' again Portmeirion! What a beautiful, surreal and thoroughly captivating place this village is - worth EVERY penny of the adult £10 entrance fee. From the surreal, abstract statues to the Italiantestyle buildings painted in lovely pastel colours, this is one of those hidden gems that the UK has to offer, but not everyone knows about (a bit like Bourton-on-the-Water in Gloucestershire). Beautiful place.

“A Good Day Out!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014

We spent 5 hours here and had a great day. We thought it was reasonably priced at £30 for a family of 4 (2adults+2children). The only let down is the train ride which according to the leaflet takes around 30 minutes but it only lasted 15mins!! Although there are 'stations' around it's journey it doesn't stop at any of them!!
The village itself is beautiful to look at with some lovely architecture.
The beach area kept the kids entertained for a while.
The shops are overpriced but the staff are friendly and helpful.

“A stunning place to visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014

We visited on a glorious day. Both adults & children were equally overwhelmed with the location. The train ride was enhanced by a humourous driver (although we were told to be quiet by a lady with a video camera at the top viewing point). Beautiful (almost) deserted beaches. Great selection of icecreams in the new Gelateria. Completely amazing :) - book tickets online for good discounts on the entry price!

Beautiful quirky architecture with the most wonderful beach that you can walk on whilst the tide is out. Stunning views of the Welsh mountains - simply gorgeous.
