Just back from a week in this park, while the accommadation was excellent,(we had a Prestige Mobile Home),I found the evening entertainment sadly lacking,it was basically the same thing every night. The noise in the entertainment bars was deafening, and the amusement arcade in the bars are not such a great idea for families with a few children,as it costs a small fortune to keep giving the kids money every few minutes. They should at least close them off at a certain time every night to give the parents a break.I would suggest a quite bar, with a selection of board games and maybe a room showing films for the kids,so the adults could have a quiet drink, and not be subjected to the constant noise of the music venues,at least they would have a choice,as it is there is nowhere else to go at night, there are pleanty of empty buildings on the park,so this could be accomplished. The brochures tell you all ameneties are covered in the cost of your holiday, dont be fooled by this,as only a certain few are, everthing else you pay for on site, and its not cheap. The site itself was well maintained and clean, and the staff for the most part were polite and friendly, though the guy selling the bingo tickets in the evening could do with a few lessons in customer relations.Would I go back ? I dont think so,not unless they do something about their evening entertainment choices.

Room Tip: Prestige Mobile Homes definetly worth the extra money,Dont go near the chalets or apartments, its lik...

After looking up reviews on weather to stay at haven or not, im absolutely disgusted at people who dont know a good value break when they get one, if ur not looking for 5star then haven is the place to be, some of the reviews on haven i have read are a joke this was my first trip with my partner and our dog , we stayed in the standard chalets from monday to friday for 80pound. I packed cleaning supplies expecting the place to be a pigsty but it was so bloody clean, fresh linen was left in plastic wrapping so we could dress the beds, there is loads to do around here and pwllheli. In pwllheli there a co.operative and a asda, the asda was a bit disappointing but the co op was beteer and bigger than any ive ever seen at home, we drove to barmouth which is a lovely town with beautiful sandy beaches. We were lucky to get the week of hot weather which was a bonus, the beach in haven isnt great but we walked along the path beside the beach and found a beautiful sandy beach small but very clean. This was my first time here and im so glad i came and not believed half the crap i read on here, this place is so clean and staff are so good and friendly i am delighted i wit the place, coming back for sure again ..

Dirty accommodation and rude poorly trained staff. My mother and six year old son stayed for a week and i visited them towards the end of the week. The breakfast and evening meal were a health risk and the staff did not want to know about the dirty accommdation.

A Holiday ruined by overworked and rude staff that did not know what they were doing.

Save your money and go camping or find an alternative Caravan park to Haven.

this is our second visit to a haven park this year, we stayed at blackpool in june and decided to return to another as it was so good.
The park is very good well laid out with good facilities, plenty to do with children, excellant pool, although we were there for a week and the flumes were closed for maintance, but good all the same.
The only downsides were the entertainmant team did not seem as focused as the team in black pool with the kids, maybe as its near the end of season but they were still okay, and the other is they really need to review the standard of food both blackpool and this park its just not good, we would never cook on holiday but actually did on this ocassion,
But overall good friendly staff, very helpful, clean spacious accomadation for what we booked
and we will return

We stayed in one of the 'apartments' which at first glance were very very basic, but it was very clean and as its only a base and somewhere to sleep, that's not a big issue. Only down side was that walls are very thin and we had a heard of elephants in the room above us!

Facilities are excellent, particularly the pool. Beach is nice enough - not the best that Wales has to offer but kids enjoyed it, especially the rock pools. If you turn right out of the site instead of left and head along the cliff path, there is a lovely beach with really great rock pools to explore.

Room Tip: Would definitely go for a caravan rather tha apartment.

We arrived to people queing out of the door to check in, there must have been at least 30 people in front of me and there was at least 8 queus. When we were finaly allocated our mobile home we were so dissapointed. We had booked Deluxe which was supposed to be equal to the old silver standard, but it was so basic. There was no heating except a gas fire, no basics such a toaster, bread bin and toilet brush. The double bed was a glorified single, the wardrobe in master was a single and very little storage space through out.
I rang the reception and said how dissapointed that we were and that we were staying for 2 weeks, I was told that as long as the mobile was the size stated that that was classed as a deluxe standard, not what was inside. To cut a long story short, it was eventually agreed after a number of days, and the last complaint from us that the rain had poured in the windows all weekend, that the mobile was not suitable and was not worth the money we had paid for it. As there was nothing else suitable for us we were eventualy offered a small refund which we accepted. Apart from all of this I have to say the staff were fantastic and work very hard.
We have been going to Haf y Mor since 2002 as we love North Wales. So as the weather picked up we decided to stay on for another week, so we looked around the private mobile's and found one belongining to a lovely couple who drove 2 hours to ready the mobile for us. This turned out to be a great decision, the mobile was gorgeous with patio doors and veranda, it was homely and in a really good location, Waterside. If anyone wants the website for this mobile contact me through this site.
I have to say that even though we were dissapointed with our mobile, the park is great place for a family holiday with kids of all ages (and adults). Also the surrounding beaches and area is wonderful, with fantastic scenery and lovely people.

Room Tip: Make sure you are specific when booking and ring the site a week before arriving

what a fab holiday we have had. haven hafon y mor wales. went 21st - 25th march 2011. me my husband and 2 daughters 7 and 6 months. we all enjoyed every single minute. great chalet and very clean, spacious and really comfortable. loads to do day and night and didnt really have to pay for anything. kids club was brill and did loads of different activities everyday and night. they give kids badges lollies pencils etc...... arts and crafts mornings are great and fun too. annabells kitchen is great for kids to where they make ther own sandwiches they get to wear hats and aprons which they can also keep. the funstars are so nice and friendly and are very approchable. pool is fab for all ages the flumes and slides were our favourites. really good parks for the kids dotted round the complex and playing fields. cant fault anything at all, i actually cant believe how good it was and how clean every were was. normally go to pontins and have a good time there but haven is way way way better as the standards of everything is at such a high level. the beach is on the door step and if weather is nice you should definatley go its stunning and has great walks. this haven is set in lovely mountain side surroundings its picture perfect. there is nothing outside the park but we never needed anything as there was so much to do in haven to keep us occupied. they have spar shops dotted around the park also a burger king papa johns and a chippy. the mash and barrel restaurant is lovely and is no more exspensive than any normal one. there is a asda 2 minute drive for essentials. would recommend this haven to anyone its great and would love to go back.
