We`ve been here a few times and never been disappointed. The friendly staff are very polite and the portion sizes are reasonable for the price. The adjacent cafe was also good, although a little more expensive.

There is a small seating area outside the take away, which is useful in good weather, although the seagulls watch proceedings from over the road!!! It`s an excellent chippy and we would not hesitate to visit again, when next in Pwllheli.

We went to Allports in May, 2012, and had a very good experience.
The staff were very pleasant, the cod and chips were excellent, and the price was
very reasonable.
We have tried Allports previously, in Porthmadog. There, the experience was awful.
The chips were burned and flowing in oil, and the fish was less than expected.

We just had a take-away from this chip shop in Pwllhei. The children said it was the best chips they had had in ages. It was good value, prepared quickly and all tasted great!

Desperate for food, with hungry kids, 5 adults and 7 kids decended on this venue. Initially our expectations were low owing to the general overall tired looking nature of the town. I will say that the weather was a bit poor and there appeared to be some roadworks seriously effecting traffic which put us in a grumpy mood to begin with. However - on entering the "dine in" side of the establishment our spirits were lifted by the very clear, smart and cheery decor / atmosphere. We were greeted by a very happy staff member who accomodated our numbers and expected difficulties in firming up our large order. Be awre that there is a "take away" side to the venue and the menue is slightly different and you can't order from the take away and then eat in. The menu was varied and there was a great "meal deal". The service was top draw. The meals came out in good time and were very good portions. There were no mistakes either. The "eat in" area is licenced too (but we stuck to teas and soft drinks). It appeared to us that many of the locals visited the venue too as staff called them by first names. There was plenty of foot traffic in the "take away" as well. Overall, this was a little gem of a place and certainly deserved the "Award Winning" standard advertised above the door. It was clear to see that the staff were happy to work there and that brought about a lovely atmosphere which ozzed pride and hence cleanliness and quality service.
