“Few drinks”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

Went out for a few drinks with my brother. Very good prices on the drinks and the place was very clean and tidy.
The atmosphere was really good and the place was very busy for a Friday night.
I will visit again next time I'm home.

“An absolute gem and a credit to the staff”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

We visited on a Sunday afternoon at the start of the Summer holidays and the pub was very busy. However staff were cleaning tables efficiently and we found a place to sit right away.
The bar staff were friendly and efficient and all the signage (e.g. for cider festivals and 'freedom salad' promotions) were all clear and visible.
My wife ordered a jacket potato and I ordered the freedom salad (tempted by the signage!) and the food arrived promptly and was served courteously. The portion sizes were good (without being oversized) and the ingredients were fresh and presented well.
Toilets were nice and clean too (always a good sign).
It was a really great find on a hot sunny afternoon and a great example of how to run a pub/restaurant. Thank you.

Reviewed 20 July 2014

We decided to go their for a day trip. When we arrived the pub was packed and busy but lucky got a table empty at last. The Staff were helpful and very friendly well polite. The coffee was excellent with nice carrot cakes as well. The facilities known as the loo was excellent deserved to vote loo of the year in 2014 for Wales which i can recommonded to you all. I shall come back again to this pub in very internest former department store building.

“Good meal”
Reviewed 19 July 2014 via mobile

Visited with family in July on a Wednesday afternoon to get some food and the place was busy. There were 8 of us and we all got served pretty quick. The food come out quickly and everybody enjoyed their meals , which was a good price. Staff were polite and friendly. This place has the same settings as all weather spoons but the location is brilliant near the train and bus station. It is also good to see that the old derelict shops that were originally there had been converted into something modern. Would visit again .
