Stayed here over the August Bank Holiday and it was not jammed up with tents and caravans unlike some sites in this area. The couple who run this don't take any nonsense from idiots who feel the need to ruin other peoples holidays with loud music or bad behaviour. If there's any issues they will sort them out straight away.
The only reason that it's not 5 stars for me was the hand dryer in the gents which just about blew enough warm air over your hands to dry them in about 10 mins...and the main grassed area did get a bit churned up.

Room tip: Ask for a pitch away from the road.

This was our first experience of a privately owned site and we were very impressed. Barcdy is a welĺ managed site that has been thoughtfully laid out, with basic, but fully functional facilities that were always found to be clean and tidy. Having stayed at many C&CC sites over the years, we were impressed by how quiet the site was, and the lack of dogs (being a dog free site) being a definite bonus in this respect. Overall, Barcady is one of the best sites we have visited, and we would have no hesitation in recommending the site to others.

Nice quiet peaceful site, we arrived to be met by the site manager who immediately asked us if we had a motor mover (we don’t ☹️) so all sorts going on in my head, we’re not gonna get in, we’ll have to find somewhere else........
No, he wanted us to get the best of the view which meant turning the van but this was no problem as he and his son came over and helped us to position it and what a view!
Fully service pitch, lovely shower block, well maintained site - perfect for a quiet break away and central to the Snowdonia National Park

Stayed over the bank holiday weekend, weather wasn't the best but the kids enjoyed the camping. Nice clean site, plenty of space, clean toilets/ showers. Reception and booking in was easy and clear. Nicely situated to explore the north west area. Plenty of kids on site but the site was very quiet come late evening. It does state that all ball games should be played on the football field, but the football field is on quite a slope ! Kids loved the rope swing.

Site located close to Porthmadog ( 10 min drive) and Harlech (15/20) mins. Nice easy checkin, Site rules and facilities explained. Camped on top field, shared 2 pitches with a gazeebo, each pitch is generous, we have 2 very big tents and there was plenty of room. The width of the pitches ensure there is plenty of space and tents aren't on top of each other. The top field also seemed sheltered from the wind compared to the bottom field. It rained most of the weekend but the grass didn't get too boggy, only where idiots wheel span their cars trying to drive up hills. Never understood why people don't walk the short 5 meters to their tent. There are also lamps lighting the road so helps for the late night walks to the facilities! Fires and BBQ's are allowed but must be raised off the ground. Most Pitches are pretty flat unless you decide to pitch on the top bank on the field, even then didn't look too bad. The owners walk the site each evening ensuring there's not too much noise and asking if any issues which is good and a nice touch. Good shower and toilet facilities ( including laundry & hair dryers ) that were always clean and with hot water. If you're looking for a chilled weekend of camping in a good location for days out with clean facilities this is the place! Thanks Barcdy for a great weekend!
