This family run hotel (motel) offered us everything we wanted and more.
Excellent food. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated rooms.
Lots of little extras like fresh milk in the fridge, and even a microwave.
Individual parking right outside the door.

Great location. Friendly, informative owners with a great sense of humour.

Whether I stay there with one of my groups or on personal trips there is always a warm welcome.

Cosy rooms, wi-fi, good breakfasts and an ideal location from which to explore North Wales.

Several stays tell a consistent story.

Motel-style accommodation so we could park right outside our room. All ground floor. Food was traditional but nicely prepared. Owners were efficient, courteous and chatty but somewhat inflexible regarding mealtimes - dinner was at 6.30 pm, take it or leave it.
This is a lovely part of Wales and this motel is conveniently located and easy to use.

Estuary Lodge is built in the style of a motel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and are reasonable well appointed. The breakfasts are cooked to order, so are always hot and there is a good choice. They keep hens so the eggs are probably fresh. The one gripe is the non inclusion of fried eggs on the menu.
Service is very friendly and prompt.
You are able to park outside your room, so they is no problem of having to carry baggage a long way.
I would not fancy staying there if I was reliant on public transport, there is a railway staion about quarter of a mile away down a cart track. The trains are not frequent.
Location is not good. It is on a main road at the end of a rather run down village. There is a rather grotty looking pub nearby but no other 'entertainment'. Unless you eat dinner in the hotel (£20 - and you have to eat by 7pm) you need to get into the car to find anywhere to dine - which means you can't have a drink.

We stayed at this little motel a few times before buying a motor home.

My opinion - clean, basic accommodation but a little dated. Beds were not very uncomfortable and having a carpeted bathroon, in my view, is unhygienic.

I found the owner to be a bit brusque. When I allegedly confused his daughter who was serving in the breakfast room, he told me off. Trust me - you don't want to be bothered with this attitude when on vacation.

On the plus side, the food was good and nicely cooked and the motel's in a good location for exploring beautiful North Wales.

We stayed for a week in June and were very impressed with the standard of the Estuary Lodge. The room was clean and comfortable and full of the little touches that raise it above the ordinary. For example the information supplied about the area had been very well researched and thoughtfully did not presume that you had, or would use your own transport. There were several suggested local walks and maps available to borrow. The food in the restuarant is of a good standard and the service is personal and friendly.. I would reccomend it to anone who is coming to this most beautiful area.
