My Godfather & I were recommended this restaurant and it certainly didn't disappoint. As we both had heard that it was a very popular restaurant we decided to book for a Monday but Lorraine who was very helpful let us know that it wasn't needed she booked us a table anyway. We chose from the early bird menu and I had broccoli & stilton soup, chicken, bacon & leek pie with seasonal vegetables & chips finishing off with apple & blueberry crumble with icecream.
The food was amazing and perfect from start to finish and the chips were a surprise as they were very good. I think that maybe they were dry fried but either way they were very tasty.
By the time our main meals had came we had decided to book for the Thursday so we came back and had broccoli & stilton soup, slow roasted lamb with dauphinois potatoes and a rich mint jus finished off with sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce.
The lamb was perfect, lovely and tender and was very well complimented with the rich mint jus. The sticky toffee pudding was simply divine and I was very sorely tempted to have another portion.
On both occasions the waiter and waitress were attentive without being too in your face and we were asked how our meals were. Also jugs of water were provided which I thought were a nice touch.
We will definitely be visiting again the next time we are in the area. For anyone who is anywhere remotely near Tremadog then this is without a doubt the place to go. Amazing food and great service.
