I stayed at Pilots Cottage over the Easter weekend with my 11 year-old daughter, my parents and Rosie, my very energetic Jack Russell! A mix of generations and we instantly fell in love with it. The cottage itself is fantastic. Spacious, homely and welcoming, it was immaculately clean and contained everything we expected to need during the break (and more).
I could write a full review based solely around the view from the kitchen! The photos here are impressive but don't do it justice. On the one day during our break when the weather wasn't too great, we based ourselves in the kitchen with brews and some music playing whilst staring out to sea and chatting. Before we knew it, 2 hours had passed!
The location is fantastic. I've visited Anglesey twice previously but this was my first time staying on the north side of the island and I loved it. Peaceful, tranquil and beautiful, we all felt truly relaxed and Rosie thoroughly enjoyed the many beautiful beaches on the island. Amlwch is a delightful village and a wonderful base for the break.
Many thanks to Claire for making such a stunning property available and for making it so welcoming. We will certainly be back!
It was all they said and more, a great location for exploring the surrounding area and the views from the cottage were fantastic. Claire, thank you for a wonderful holiday.
A lovely home away from home. It was exceptionally clean and tidy. Beautiful views from the kitchen and bedroom windows. Thank you.
Cottage was amazing, home from home. Plenty of room. Quiet area. Lots of amazing areas to explore. Fish and chip shop in morfrey you must try, delicious and friendly helpful staff. Indian takeaway in almney also very good. Great place to stay.
This was out 2nd visit to Pilot's cottage and a third is in the pipeline. As with our first visit the booking procedure was very smooth. The cottage was clean and felt as welcoming. The kitchen is very well stocked and there is plenty of crockery to use to prepare family meals. We love the views and the easy walks in the surrounding area. We were even lucky enough to see seals along the headland on a walk. Thank you Claire for allowing our furry family member to stay too, our holidays always include our dog and you make that possible.
We stayed for a week in mid September and had a really relaxing week. The cottage is well equipped and spacious but the thing we enjoyed most was the peace and quiet. Good work too but I completely switched off it was brilliant. Pilots cottage has made our list of places to revisit.
