“Absolutely fantastic”
Reviewed 3 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

This is one of the best holiday cottages I have ever stayed in, it is spacious and comfortable and full of all the gadgets of home and impeccably clean and tidy. The garden is a good size which the kids loved. We stayed here for two nights on a fishing trip. The fishing was lousy but the cottage more than made up for it. Don't think about it just BOOK IT NOW.........you will not be disappointed! I liked it so much I have booked to go back in six weeks time! It is an absolute gem. Bev, thanks for everything, your quick responses and a great welcome package. Your house is great.

“Spacious, comfortable accommodation in a tranquil location.”
Reviewed 25 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Porthwen farm is an ideal place to stay if you want to get away from it all. The house is roomy with plenty of space to socialise or just be on your own, outside the house you can enjoy sunshine all day long. Cemaes bay is a quick drive or 90 minute coastal walk away. It has a nice beach a shop that sells all you might need, The Harbour does good food and some of it is gluten free.

We had a great stay here. A very cosy and yet spacious cottage. Secluded & peaceful yet within distance of everything you need. There are some really spectacular walks and views to be had almost straight from the front door. Will definately be back!!

“Peaceful, cosy farmhouse”
Reviewed 12 September 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We spent a lovely fortnight here in August. Despite changeable weather we managed to get out and about every day and this was a perfect base from which to explore. The farmhouse is well decorated and equipped, there are two log burners, which make for cosy evenings (even in the Summer) and the house overlooks fields of sheep and cows! It is toddler/baby friendly as there is a stairgate at the bottom and it's easy to shut doors to seal off routes for potentially dangerous escapades. The washing machine/tumbledryer/dishwasher made for a very civilised holiday. There is a good-sized, well-stocked co-op less than 10 minutes drive away and the Waitrose at Menai is great for stocking up too. The local beaches are just brilliant (especially Cemaes, Benllech and Newborough) and perfect for young and older children. Bring wet-suits if you have them as even the brightest days could be chilly after a while in the sea/on the sand.
