“A little gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

This is a very interesting attraction with a very good audio guide. Although it looks small it has a very big story to tell and takes longer than you may think. The obvious next attraction is the Gaol. A very informative presentation.

“Small but Interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

This is a very interesting visit especially if you combine it with the Gaol visit. You can see the whole story. The courtroom is also an audio guided tour, so you are given plenty of information, it is only a small building but the combined ticket with the Gaol was worth the money.

“A very old quaint building, not as interesting as the Jail”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

It is probably better to visit the Jail first. We arrived straight from the Jail and found this less interesting, and sometimes information we had already read at the Jail. It is a lovely old building, just a shame that other buildings have been allowed to be built round it so you only get the feel when inside. You can buy a joint ticket with the Jail and if you do so, visit this place first. OK, but not really worth the money.

“Excellent if you are interested in history”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Very good audio tour but some of the numbers on the walls weren't obvious and although we heard it all we didn't see some of it. But it was thrilling to sit in the press box where Charles Dickens had sat.
