I stayed here with two friends at the end of a very long bike ride. The staff could not have been more helpful. We called on route to warn of our late arrival and the duty manager offered to have food waiting for us if required. We were given a really warm welcome when we finally rolled up at 10:30pm and they were really accommodating with safe storage for our bikes. Even kept the bar open for us to enjoy a 'recovery' beer! Loved the breakfast next morning - great choice and exactly what we needed before setting off.

This would be a brilliant place to be based for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey - on foot or bike.

This is a very nice family hotel, a little old-fashioned in the British style. It has beautiful views of the Menai Straits and Snowdonia, although the hotel frontage is on the main street, not on the seafront. Since the car park is on the sea side, and the reception in the middle, it seems a little back-to-front. The restaurant was OK too, and the prices reasonable.

Room Tip: Rooms on the sea side have a good view.

Thank you for your review. The layout of the hotel can be a little confusing we do class the front of the hotel on the sea front with the car park and the back of the hotel on the street side. We put reception in the middle with the idea of welcoming guests from both sides of the hotel. We hope that you will visit us again soon.

Just writing this review whilst getting ready to leave, After spending another sleepless night here.
With outdated furniture & a crack in the ceiling looking like the grand canyon this hotel is in bad need of a update. The noise from the plumbing is so bad it keeps you awake throughout the night. Again referring to other posts the only upside of the hotel is the view.

Room Tip: Ask for a modern updated room.

The rooms are clean but shabby and in urgent need of updating. The rooms should be better for the price paid which is not cheap. However the hotel overall is warm and welcoming and the staff helpful and accommodating. The best thing is the wonderful view if you get a sea view. I found the breakfast very disappointing. There was plenty of fried food but if you like yogurts, decent muesli or fresh fruit then you will not get any which is a shame. The location of this hotel is fantastic and it would be absolutely wonderful if a little TLC was injected into it. I would not stay here again unless the rooms were spruced up.

Room Tip: get a sea view if you can.

We booked well in advance as part of a group of forty people on a vintage car tour of North Wales and Anglesey. The food was excellent, especially as we were all fed at the same time. We had a range of choices for starters, mains and puddings. It was served quickly and efficiently by the professional well trained staff who were pleasant and polite. The lounge and bar areas were spacious and comfortable with plenty of seats for us all. We were allocated a standard double room which was very clean and comfortable with all of the usual facilities. The shower was a little disappointing though being a slow flow, but it was plenty hot enough. The group rate for dinner bed and breakfast was excellent value for money. There would have been plenty of car parking for residents, but the hotel was open for non residents for food snacks and drinks and they made use of the free parking during the day which was annoying when we came back mid afternoon occasionally and the car park was full! I would recomend this hotel as an excellent location for a holiday in North Wales. There is plenty to see and do in this area.

Room Tip: If you want to splash out ask to stay in room 104. It was huge, with a very large bathroom with sepa...

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and that the food and service was excellent. We enjoy having groups stay with us however allocating rooms does become a little tricky as we only have a handful of sea view rooms available. We do appreciate your comments regarding the car park, we rely on day visitors leaving the car park by early evening to allow over night residents to park. We understand that this is not always the case and especially when groups like yourselves arrive back in the afternoon. Thank you once again your your comments and we hope that you will consider us again in the future.

Stayed here on an expensive late booking. Hotel is like stepping back in time and is really in need of refurbishment . I felt I was walking on to the Titanic! Our room didn't have a sea view ( not expected on a late booking) but I'm sure that room would have made our short stay a little more comfortable. Where are the roll top baths that are seen in the hotels photo gallery? Our bathroom was very dated and had a yellow coloured suite that I got rid of when I purchased a house 30 years ago. The shower cubicle wasn't any better either. The room was relativity small with dated furniture. All this at the cost of £160 per night! ( Camp bed included for our Son )
Some staff were friendly enough and efficient ( breakfast staff and receptionist on departure ) whilst upon arrival the receptionist wasn't that welcoming and I even had to ask how to get to our room. Car parking can be an issue here as it just isn't big enough for the size of the Hotel so upon arrival we were advised to double park and leave our keys so SOMEONE could move our car if needed to be!
From the outside the a Hotel gives a good impression as it does have a fabulous location but unfortunately that doesn't last once you enter it.
The breakfast was good with a good selection and it was here we got the best service. We would not stay here again especially for the money we paid but would plan our stay a little more in advance and hope to get somewhere better in Beaumaris as it is a lovely place to stay for visting Anglesey .

This is a magnificent hotel that is located in a marvellous large old Victorian House. The building was apparently built for a visit by Queen Victoria, when only Princess Victoria in 1832.

The food in the restaurant is really good and the staff on the whole are very attentive. The Hotel has lovely wide corridors and all the rooms have high ceilings. I would certainly like to return at some future stage.

My only observation is that the car park can be a little congested if the hotel is full. The hotel is situated right in the centre of Beaumaris, opposite the lifeboat station.

Thank you for your review, its great to hear that the staff are doing a great job. We appreciate the comments regarding the car park. We are currently redoing the car park which will hopefully indicate the spaces a little clearer reducing the need to block people in. We hope that you will come back and visit us soon.
