We stayed in Cleifiog over New Year, our third time of staying in this magnificent B&B. The large, wood panelled, beautifully decorated rooms are fully equipped with all modern amenities with two of the three rooms having an uninterrupted views over the Menai Straights. The beds are luxurious and breakfast is all that you would want!
Gill and Laurie (the owners) are wonderful hosts who makes sure that your stay is one that will remain in your memories forever!

Stayed here for just one night in a room at the back but it proved to be a great b and b! The little touches were appreciated:- welcoming afternoon tea/coffee with biscuits, fresh milk in a flask in the bedroom, a daily newspaper to take to bed and a great selection of classy products to use while wallowing in the long bath! Breakfast was fine with freshly squeezed orange juice. Gill thanks for having us to stay and taking over your room for an urgent video editing session.

We have been staying in Beaumaris every year for 25. For the first time we returned again same year. We had enjoyed our spring break at Cleifiog so much that we could not wait to return. This time we occupied Tapestry which was even more luxurious than the last room. Spotlessly clean and a perfect comfortable and spacious bed. As before Gill gave us a terrific welcome into her home. She catered for every need and we felt like royalty. Breakfast was superb. Nothing was too much trouble for her and we could have stayed forever soaking up the fabulous sea view and open fire in our room. We are longing to return.

Room Tip: Sampler is quiet and very healing.

What a wonderful place for the start of our travels through Wales. Ideally located. Parking right outside the front door. Short walk to the town. The reception by Gill and Laurie was excellent. We had been driving all day so it was a pleasure to arrive in such a lovely place on the waterfront. We were a family of three adults, our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean. We were directed into town for dinner, Ye Olde Bulls Head Inn, superb meal. Lovely full breakfast the next day. On departure we chatted and Gill and Laurie indicated areas of Wales to visit and roads to follow. Very helpful, would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We stayed at Cleifiog on our honeymoon, we were wowed by our room, the sheer size and cleanliness of it where enough but it felt like home from home, but with a breathtaking view. The owners were lovely, lovely to chat to and attentive, but without mithering. Breakfast left us full everyday, with so much to choose from and cooked fresh each day. Nothing was too much trouble. Beaumaris itself is a beautiful place, but returning after a busy day exploring, to this stunning guest house was the icing on the cake for us and made our honeymoon so special. Would and will be recommending Cleifiog to anyone staying in Beaumaris, it definatly earned its 5*'s!

My wife and I have stayed at hundreds of different hotels and BB's around the world and have stayed in some amazing places over the years. We have to agree though that 'Cleifiog' easily comes in the top five of our favourite places now, after having spent last weekend there. The location is terrific with a wonderful view of Snowdonia across the Menai Straits. This lovely old building has been beautifully renovated over recent years to a very high standard.
Gill (and her husband) were extremely attentive throughout our stay, without being overbearing. All our needs were catered for and we were made to feel welcome from the very start. Everything you could reasonably want in your rooms and bathrooms were already there...and more. Excellent value for money for this standard of accommodation. I could go on and on, but best that you visit it yourself and find out!! You will NOT be disappointed

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have a great view across the bay. Rooms at the rear have no view as such

For my birthday we went to saty for three nights in the Cleifiog B&B in Beaumaris.
it is probably the best B&B I have ever stayed in.
The joy started with a wonderful drive through breathtaking scenery in Mid Wales, and across the Menai Bridge towards Beaumaris.
The B&B is situated overlooking the water of the Menai Straits, with an uninterrupted view of the water, and the steeply rising hills of Snowdonia National Park. Splendid views by day and night.
The room had a very large double bed, supremely comfortable, and a full sitting area in the room with gas (log effect) fire, sofa and easy chair. the room had double aspect, with great views as described.
The owners had been called away, but we were very well looked after by Maggs, whose friendliness and kindness enhanced the whole ambiance. we all had cooked breakfasts which were excellent, and feshly made. nothing appeared to be too much trouble.
This is a very good B&B, make no mistake.
Beaumaris is also a great small town with lots going on and plenty of choice for drinking and eating within a short walk of Clefiog B&B

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the water of the Menai Strait.
