“Fabulous accomodation”
Reviewed 5 April 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We stayed here in march to visit family nearby. The house was beautifully set out and met all our needs. The house was immaculate and the cleanliness to a very high standard. The views from the bedrooms were beautiful. Crystal was very helpful with any questions we had or help that we needed. Definitely home from home and the beds were so comfy. will definitely be returning in the future and would recommend this property to friends or anyone visiting the area. Well done crystal for getting this house spot on!!!!!

“Great location and views, but property didn't work for us.”

The location of the Palms is very good, although it's on a busy road you don't have to cross any roads to walk down the hill (or back up) to the beach. And the beach, which can be seen from the back windows, is absolutely amazing! You can walk for miles at low tide, right around to Red Wharf Bay and back and the pub and bistro there, and they are well worth it! Dog friendly too. Benllech itself was fine, plenty of easy to reach supermarkets, and we ate out a couple of times and all was good. Anglesey is beautiful, with some of the most stunning beaches, a little gem of a place.
Good things about the property: the location, the views, the water pressure (fabulous shower), storage, dog friendly garden.
Unfortunately there were things about the Palms that weren't for us, some personal preference and some just not what we would expect really. Personally we found the corner sofa uncomfortable and the table and chairs were just too small to be functional. There were only two adults in our party, we couldn't imagine four adults spending any time indoors comfortably, but as I say, perhaps that's a personal thing. Also, the TV is freeview and there's no DVD, so when the wind blew, which it did quite a bit as The Palms is quite high up, the TV was practically unwatchable and no facility to pop a DVD on. In our experience most rental places have satellite TV and/or DVD facilities. First impressions weren't very good either, faded plastic flowers in pots and baskets, windowsills full of plants and awful headache inducing automatic air fresheners that we had to take the batteries out of. There was also bins full of rubbish outside, which I know probably can't be helped as it seems Anglesey residents have to sort into six bins, and most of it was collected on the Wednesday, but it doesn't create a very good impression when you first arrive. And finally, it could have been cleaner: the bins, the windows, the skirting boards, the radiator in the downstairs loo. Lots of little things, that sadly added up to a big enough thing to not make us want to go back to the Palms.
Back to Anglesey, definitely. Back to Benllech, quite possibly.

“Home from Home❤”
Reviewed 12 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

After an extensive search of holiday homes on Angelsey- we chose the palms and it did not let us down in any way. Even though it was an early February visit, the house was warm at all times and very cosy and comfortable to be in. The little details around the place make it feel more personal and welcoming. You can tell cleanliness is important and it makes all the difference, as do the very reasonable prices.
Great value for money. Would definetly recommend to anyone needing a practical, clean and value for money holiday home!

“Brill break in Benllech”
Reviewed 14 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

Such a great location, so close to the beach. Spotless, baking hot so we turned the heating down. The owner was great at accommodating our needs, she seems lovely. Thanks very much we'll definitely be booking again.

“Fabulous Little Holiday Home - Wouldn't change a thing!”
Reviewed 9 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Great house just a very short walk to the most lovely beach. A great pub is 5 mins away - so too a very useful Tesco Express. The house is a new build and very cosy. Even in the middle of winter we hardly put the heating on. Easy to find and parking right next to house. Crystal has it very well organised and sent very easy instructions on how to find the house. A lovely break at New Year.

“Could have been cleaner and walmer.”

It could have been cleaner. The bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied and the towel in the bathroom didn't smell clean. The heating was on a timer so only came on at the beginning and end of the day so it was a bit chilly when not on. The house was decorated nicely though and was close to the beach and shops etc.

Management Response
9 Jan 2017
Thank you very much for this feedback.

Sadly you visited whilst the normal cleaner was off on sick leave and a temporary replacement stepped in (needless to say that in light of this review they have not been kept on).

The heating is also on continuously now that it is winter time, so guests can moderate their own comfort levels at all times throughout the stay,

I am sorry that you were not 100% satisfied and could only have hoped that you would have mentioned something at the time.

Regards,
Crystal
