“Fantastic property and location”

I have recently returned from a stay at "Yr Aelwyd" with my husband and 2 of our friends and would highly recommend it. The house is beautifully appointed and also has views of Cemaes Bay from almost every room. Everything you could possibly need during your stay has been made available by the owner, a real home from home. The outside patio area and conservatory also have wonderful views. It is in a great location, only a couple of minutes stroll into the village centre. We had a wonderful time at "Yr Aelwyd" and didn't want to leave, we will definitely be back!

“Comfortable Home from Home”
Reviewed 8 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Good location, very quiet but just a couple of minutes walk from the middle of the village with good views over both beaches. The house is spacious, was nice and clean and everything worked as it should. Although Yr Aelwyd is quite "well worn" in some respects this does not detract from the experience but rather makes it seem more homely and lived in, like staying at a friends house. Anthony the owner had taken the trouble to have the coal bunker filled and the open fire made our stormy winter stay very cosy. As a couple this made a very relaxing base for exploring Anglesey from and with its games room and a short walk to the beach would be great for families.

“Lovely Homely stay with three generations”

Booked this with just us in mind but family decided to join us. Lovely big house with homely lounge area and 'childrens games room' that the adults enjoyed. Weather was not good but retreated to a warm house with plenty of room for six adults and two 20 month year olds. Very clean and views from every window. Short walk to the village amenities. Recommended.

An absolute gem! We loved Camaes Bay, what a delight to stay in such a loveley home.
Everything provided for six of us to enjoy our week in absolute comfort.... and it was true, you can view the sea from every room, and all we wanted in walking distance.
We have rented cottages for the last six years, this is the best of them, already looking forward to returning and continuing our exploration of Anglesey.

Great house for a holiday - nicely decorated with a great family warm feeling. The view from the conservatory is wonderful - the ever changing views of the sea. Everything that you could require in the kitchen. Playstation for the kids if bad weather - also lots of other games. The rooms are a good size, There were only 4 of us but plenty of room without falling over one another. The location is definitely the nicest in the area. A great rock walking beach, a little harbour and then a sun tanning beach (we had the best weather). Great little village with a good butcher and green grocers and baker. Nice restaurants near by. All easy enough to get to by walking. I would highly recommend this house and village for a holiday. Oh we also had my aunt with us who is 90 and besides the fact that there were stairs in the house she was able to get around quite easily.
