“Gorgeous place”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

This is a lovely nature reserve that is a lovely place for a walk and stroll or can be the base of a longer walk in the area. There are car parks at the top and bottom of the reserve, there is a small charge but I don't mind paying this as it goes toward helping the reserve. There is a stream all way up and then a reservoir at the top which is absolutely stunning! As you walk up the reserve you can go on boardwalks which is good for disabled too or you can go up paths. The reservoir route is about 3 miles long and there is lots of wildlife to see on route and plenty of places to sit and admire the surroundings.

“Excellent”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

The people who live round this area are really lucky to have a small nature reserve like this. Red squirrels, dippers and other wildlife can be seen here. Easy walking round as well. Wish we had such a good little reserve close to us.

“Nice relaxing walk”
Reviewed 15 February 2014

The council have spent a lot of money making the Dingle a nice place to go for a walk and for a change it seems to be money well spent. It's been cleaned up with plenty of paths and walkways for a nice leisurely stroll. Only problem can be the occasional dog mess left by careless owners. Not good especially when children are playing about. Still, you always get some dirty selfish people who shouldn't be allowed to keep pets, but it's not the Dingles fault!

“Tranquil walk”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

Lovely accesible walk for all. You can make it as long or short as you like. Park by the church and follow the path ahead it will take you to two lakes which you can do a circular walk either around one or both lakes. Walk can take two hours. Well worth it there are seating on the way round the only thing it lacks are waste bins. Short walk can take you to a small lake where you can feed the ducks. Boardwalk can be slippy in autumn/winter but a lovely tranquil place to walk.

“well worth a vist”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

this is a delightful reserve and worth a visit
go on up to the reservoir at the top
it is usually pretty quiet being off the main tourist routes
but then go on to the nearby Oriel (art gallery) where not only are there good exhibitions but the food is also excellent
