We have just returned from a 3 night break staying at this lovely hotel. It is lovely, set in beautiful gardens,it a quaint converted farmhouse and buildings. Our bedroom had a sloping ceiling and beams, and was spotless. We had lots of little extras like nice biscuits and bottled water everyday.
The breakfast was amazing, everything fresh and tasty and served with a smile. We would highly recomend this hotel

I stayed just one night in a single room on a business visit to Anglesey. I arrived late at night but it was very easy to find, just a few yards off the A55 in a quiet spot with no traffic noise. A warm welcome throughout and friendly conversation at the bar. I had a single room which was spacious if the bathroom was a little small, but it was fine for what I needed. A hearty breakfast included in the room rate, so excellent value for money. Would stay again.

We have just returned from a two night KGB deal which was very good value.
Room very pleasant only down side no wardrobe just hooks on the wall in corner which was ok for weekend but would not have liked it for more days. Well stocked tea and coffee in room also had bottled water. Bathroom was well stock even down to Hand/Body Lotion All very nice touches.
Breakfast was great choice fresh fruit, yogurts plus cereal on offer. Welsh breakfast very nice and very hot. You could also have scrambled egg and smoked salmon (which i had on the Sunday and was delicious) Had evening meal on the Saturday again great food. Service very polite and friendly. Lounge area had two rows of sofas facing each other this area included Bar where everyone was friendly.

Just had a christening Sunday lunch for a group of 25. The price was very competitive for 3 courses plus tea and coffee, the main meal was great, the service pleasant but slow at times. Manageress was polite at best. However it is a great shame that they don't have ANY baby changing facilities, when questioned they said 'only in the ladies or gents please', where there was no changing table. Were we supposed to change the baby's nappy on the floor? We ended up changing the baby in the car.

We stayed here on a 2 night B&B KGB deal and as such this was good value. It would have been much less acceptable had it been at the normal published rates. Our reception was prompt, fairly friendly and efficient. The bedroom was bright, warm, well decorated and all clean. It was well stocked with tea, coffee, hot choclate, & biscuits. The bathroom was good and the spa shower cubicle excellent. The 15" TV flat screen was too small, and the roof-light window was lacking a blackout blind and also limited the outside view.
Breakfast was serviced only between 8.00 -9.00am on both Sat. and Sun. mornings. Although not a particular problem to us on this trip, this is much too limited for a hotel offering for normal business. Breakfast was good overall with the smoked salmon & scrambled eggs being very acceptable and fresh fruit salad, prunes, yoghurt offering a good alternative to cereals. The full Welsh fried breakfast could have been a little fuller and would have benefited from a better quality sausage and perhaps some black pudding and/or beans.
We originally planned to dine in the first night but we thought the Table d' Hote menu offering was unimaginative and fairly expensive at £21. The wine prices were also a little high. The dining room and particularly the lounge (with its 2 lines of face to face sofas) were a little too traditional and old fashioned in style. We ate out on both nights and see our other reviews for the Bull Hotel in Llangefni, and particularly for The Straights restaurant at Menai Bridge which produced an excellent recommended early bird 3 course dinner for £17.95. The KGB made it attractive and we would return, but would plan to dine elsewhere.

Stayed over one night on a business trip. First impressions ok, but overall disappointed. Ok I stayed in a single room , but it was very small . No wardrobe , just a rack with plastic coat hangers on it.en suite shower room minute (I'm 6'2). Food at night was less than average. I ordered grilled sirloin, with caremalised onions and mushrooms... The steak was fried in my opinion , as were the overcooked tasteless onions. Staff very friendly. Bar area a throw back to the 70's, but good boddingtons on draft. Also, I think the drainage is a saniflo type system , because all night you could hear it when everyone used the toilets . Breakfast next morning poor.... Very small plates were used to give impression of quantity, bacon overcooked, 1 slice of toast...would I stay again?pissibly, but only in a double, and I would eat out.

I stayed here for two nights recently whilst working in Llangefni. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and furnished to quite a high standard throughout, particularly the lounge with it's very comfortable sofas. It is quite a homely sort of place and I found it very relaxing.
I thought that the restaurant menu was spot-on both in terms of the number of dishes available and the actual choice of food (an additional special dish of Thai red curry with either chicken or prawns was also offered on one of the nights I was there). The quality of the food was also excellent both nights. Prices for main courses and sweets are reasonable enough but the starters are a little over-priced.
In conclusion, this is a very comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in a nice rural location with good food and I am looking forward to staying here again when I am next in the area.
