Having phoned ahead to let staff know I would be arriving before the check in time, they went out of their way to arrange a room for me to get ready for a wedding in. Fortunately when I arrived my room had already been vacated and cleaned ready for me. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful and an absolute bargain for £90 with a fantastic breakfast. Proper coffee in the room was a nice touch. Thanks for a lovely stay, Angelsey Arms!

The hotel is located close to the road leading onto the old Menai Suspension Bridge, there was therefore a certain amount of traffic noise in the front bedrooms. If it had been necessary to have the window open overnight this might have caused us to have a problem sleeping.
The bedrooms were very well appointed with nice, large comfortable beds. We ate dinner in the hotel the evening we arrived which was good value and very tasty.
There is a quiet lane at the side of the hotel leading down to the costal path which was convenient for walking our dog.

The rooms have a very nice design and they are clean. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and with a good choice of food. In the rooms from the first floor there is some noise from the restaurant (if you want to go earlier to sleep, request a room in the second floor). I would recommend it for week-end escapes and for group of friends.

It is a very long time since we have been this impressed with a hotel, from the moment we arrived until we left 4 days later. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, and it made such a pleasant change to have ground coffee and a caffatiere rather than the normal instant. We ate at the hotel in the evenings and apart from one small problem,(readily solved)we were very happy with both the food and the interesting menu. The highest praise must be reserved for the staff who without exception were the most helpful, happy, and friendliest we have ever come across, enthusiastic and hardworking. This was definitely an excellent and good value choice.
We look forward to staying again.

Room Tip: Try for rooms 103,105 or 108,all light and spacious.Be aware at the front there is a certain amount...

Stayed in a family room which was large, clean and nicely furnished. My daughter's mattress was very uncomfortable and this was changed for the second night. Breakfast took an age to be served and wasn't that great when it arrived cold bacon, over cooked black pudding. Staff are not welcoming and unapologetic when something is wrong. Shame because the hotel is really nice. There's loads of places to stay in Menai Bridge, so we won't be staying here again.

I am very sorry that the service you received was below standard.
I would be most grateful for a call to investigate the issues further.
Kind regards

We went as a walking group of mixed ages, for 2 nights and we were welcomed and looked after by such friendly and helpful staff, especially Katie, Val and Becca. Rooms were very comfortable and nicely furnished. Food was good, just needed breakfast to be served more timely. We would return again. Thank you.

Thank you for your review.
your point on breakfast has been brought up with both managers and Kitchen team and we will now be pre booking larger groups for breakfast so as to allocate time between all our residents and not having the whole hotel sit at once.

Thanks again

We booked the Anglesey Arms on bookings.com for a last minute meet up with friends . What a great place! Our room was huge, comfortable and nicely/smartly decorated with a lovely big bathroom and fluffy towels! Loads of tea and coffee too! The hotel was heaving on Saturday night and had a great atmosphere. Breakfast was terrific, pretty much all the standard offerings, loads of choice. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a hotel near Beaumaris or Menai Bridge or even Bangor. Excellent! will definitely return.
