The outbuildings must be one of the best b & b places in the UK. Went to Anglesey for a few days R & R and had a wonderful time. The owner and her staff couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome, the rooms and all the residence had been converted to a very high standard and the beds were SO comfy. We opted for an evening meal as well as breakfast, and because the Outbuldings are little out of the way it was the best option for us, because the food was wonderful.

I live quite close to this fantastic place and went there for a meal 2 weeks ago for the first time. Until recently it was only available to residents and those attending functions but now welcomes casual diners for evening meals. We had probably the best meal I have ever had. Home made canapés including crisps! A gorgeous wild mushroom soup with home baked bread rolls. I chose the rack of lamb served with fresh peas, shredded breast of lamb in a pastry casing - and other veg - fantastic! No room for a pud! The price was very very reasonable. Service and ambience second to none. Highly highly recommended.

We got married at the Outbuildings in August. We only had 10 guests, as we wanted to keep it small and special just with family. The Outbuildings is a perfect small wedding venue, with beautiful views, its peaceful and quiet and all the staff are very helpful and friendly. We hired all the rooms which were furnished to an excellent standard, very beautifully decorated and very comfortable with everything you need. My husband and I spent the night in the Pink Hut, which was lovely because it is set out of the way from the other guests and we felt like it was in the middle of no where, very romantic!
We got married upstairs in the Gallery with was perfect for our small party, and the oak staircase looked gorgeous on own photographs as we walked down them as a married couple. The food was delicious and the staff were helpful whenever we asked for anything. Thank you to Bun, Anna, caroline, anna and the whole team for a fantastic wedding day!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely

We stayed for 2 nights at The Outbuildings and I will be forever grateful to the staff and owners for the kindness they showed us. Our toddler took violently ill on the evening of the arrival (nothing to do with the food at The Outbuilding I hasten to add as he had not eaten there!) We had a nightmarish time trying to cope with a very poorly, very grumpy and very upset 20 month old, but the staff did everything they could to help us - even going so far to help us launder his special blankie (which had really suffered!)
We are hoping to return to The Outbuildings next year (sans baby) to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This time we hope to be able to truly enjoy the wonderful views, stunning accommodation and delicious food.

Room Tip: The Pink Shepard Hut looked incredible!

Its set in gorgeous surroundings. So tranquil and homely. The owner suggested the accommodation were an extention to her own home; the statement summed the whole complex up...every aspect of the building reflected a quirky homely luxurious haven. All the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful!!! The food mirrored the environment ...truly sensational!!!! Hopefully sure to return again!! Anyone visiting don't forget the trainers....got a fab tennis court!!

I was treated to a night at this B&B by a friend after having her wedding hosted at the location. It was wonderful! The venue itself did a wonderful job of the wedding. The food was excellent, and the staff so professional and friendly. The room was very large and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. I have no idea where they buy their beds, but I really must find out, because that is probably the most comfortable bed I've EVER slept on. Due to the location, the room is also extremely quiet. There were 2 rooms above me, and outside of a thump from an obviously large object being dropped, I didn't hear anything. The only thing I would suggest, is a hook for the shower head to allow for a proper shower. Having been a bridesmaid, I had about a gallon of hairspray and makeup to wash off, and it was a wee bit difficult without running a full bath. But really, if that's the only suggestion, it's nothing compared to how lovely the location is. The breakfast was also plentiful and cooked perfectly. Highly recommended!

We were married at The Outbuildings in early July. The venue is a beautifully converted barn in grounds which show North Wales at its very best, commanding views over Snowdonia and out over rolling mid-Anglesey fields.

Every detail of the Outbuildings reflects investment in quality and attention to detail. The main hall’s wooden beams and stone fireplace contrast with huge windows and a light wood floor to create a delightful mix of rustic and modern. The decoration throughout shows thought and personality, a quirky but tasteful mix of colours and interesting artefacts and pictures in every nook and cranny. The four bedrooms are simple and classy, again showing creative use of colour.

Having been one of the first weddings to book at the Outbuildings, we worked with the owner and staff for over a year before the big day itself. They strove extremely hard to ensure a perfect experience, accommodating one request after another to make for a truly individual wedding day, an impression that is not always made in some larger, more commercial venues. They have clearly developed an excellent network of contacts across all the necessary extras (florists, suit hire, transport etc) and provided sound advice throughout, which was especially appreciated as we do not live locally.

As a venue for a summer wedding the Outbuildings is stunning, with the beautiful hall for the ceremony (or the option to use the balcony for smaller weddings), glorious lawn for the reception and option to have the meal in a marquee which is tastefully decorated and with lighting bordering on the extravagant. Equally having visited on some grey autumn days we could really see how the warmth and brightness of the décor would lend itself to a winter wedding as well.

Although our wedding breakfast was catered externally (as at the time we booked the chef hadn’t started), the food we ate at the Outbuildings (one dinner and two breakfasts) was excellent; tasty and fresh and using local ingredients.

Overall we had an wonderful wedding experience at the Outbuildings, had extremely positive feedback from our guests and found the B&B accommodation excellent. We would recommend it on all counts.
