Description: This hotel and restaurant sits in a spectacular location overlooking the Menai Straits on the Ismand of Anglesey. Recently under new management it offers a wide range of cuisine from bar meals to a full dining room service. A good range of beers and wines are available and a menu with some good choices often with locally sourced ingredients. Local mussels and fish are specialities and well worth a try. With friendly and helpful staff and meals at very reasonable prices this is a lovely spot to enjoy a relaxing spot, good food and drink with superb views over the Straits. In the summer months. outdoor dining at tables at the water's edge is particularly pleasant. It can get a little crowded in high season but bookings can be made for the restaurant to avoid disappointment. During Spring and Autumn it is rarely crowded but has a good all-year round reputation with local customers. The hotel is residential and has a good reputation but, never having stayed there myself, I cannot comment on the residential element of the hotel.

“Another superb evening”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

We ate here again with family visiting from overseas, we always like eating in the bar as the atmosphere is lovely, the view of the strait is quite amazing. I had local lobster with garlic butter and parmesan breadcrumbs, fries and salad, truly gorgeous. Our party also had rib eye steak which we were told was superb, spinach mushroom and feta parcel and salmon, all brilliant. All washed down with well kept cask ale and lovely vino. Cant fault it. Great service too.

“Hospitable hosts and a fantastic view”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

The hotel benefits from a great location and views. The room was excellent, nicely decorated and clean. The hotel manager could not do enough to make our stay a great one and really put the effort in. All round fantastic stay, absolutely no complaints, would highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

“Consistently Good Food.”
Reviewed 14 September 2013

A warm welcome, well-kept beer and a great menu bring us back repeatedly to the Gazelle.

The chef has ben given a free rein to innovate and perfect a comprehensive (but not too large) choice of dishes at the higher and of the pub food spectrum. Food is always perfectly cooked and presented.

“Food out of this World!”
Reviewed 22 August 2013 via mobile

Got to say this hotel is a must go if you ever visit Angelsey and the views are to die for! Food have to say is sublime with the food you will find you will not complain about the size of the portions as you may feel that they have given you too much!!! The service of the staff is excellent very welcoming and helpful which makes it a most enjoyable place to go for lunch or dinner!
May I warn you that if you don't get there early enough you may find it hard to park and to not avoid disappointment I would advise to book for evening meals! Thank you I will be back!!

“Lovely views straight on to the Menai”
Reviewed 19 August 2013 via mobile

We stumbled on this place in November and thought what a beautiful place it must be when its summer. So mid august and well the weather was even worse! But the hotel was very good. Room was cosy and very clean and the breakfast was spot on, even though full English not at all greasy. Only improvement could be having a bit of music as it felt awkward when your sat in a very quiet restaurant in silence. View from the rooms make this a must stay.
