Lovely place, lovely blue sea and clean sand. Wish people respected the area and take their litter home.

A lovely drive through the forest brings you to the spacious car park which has toilet, showers and drinking water for your doggies.

As you walk onto the beach you are greeted by the breathtaking scenery, mountains in front, a gorgeous large sandy beach and LLandwyn island in the distance.
The walk alongside the beach towards the island is not as far as it seems but it takes awhile as the lure of the sea distracts the children and you find yourself paddling along with them!

As you walk onto the island the views are breathtaking, one side of the island seems choppy and a surfers paradise, the other side calmer and perfect for swimming or paddling.
The lighthouse and the little cottages makes you feel as if you've stepped back in time, if the tide is out the children love exploring the little coves and clambering amongst the rocks looking for crabs etc.

Walking back we take the forest path and more fun is had running around the trees and the terrain.

Once back to the car it seems like we've been gone only a short time but somehow a whole day has elapsed, a truly magical place.

“A special place”

Newborough is always a joy to visit. This year I cycled from the top car park to the beach with one of our dogs. Superb trails. Great fun.

The new improvements are fantastic - woodland walks, walk ways. It was lovely to catch up with the rest of my family and have lunch at the snack bar (excellent food and great service).
