“Best Holiday for Years”

This is a lovely little studio - petite but well laid out to take advantage of the available space, and beautifully clean and well-decorated. There is a double bed, wardrobe, small but functional kitchen, lovely en-suite shower room (the shower is sensational), settee, TV with DVD player (very poor TV reception in the whole area so don't expect too much on that front) and WiFi access. Outside is a patio area with table and chairs plus a very pretty garden with lots of cottage garden plants.

This property also welcomes a pet (or more, but be aware it is a small place), and our dog enjoyed exploring the garden and keeping an eye out for resident cat in a sort of friendly way.

Sophie and Mark the owners are a lovely couple who make you feel really welcome., but give you space and privacy when you want it.

The local beaches are well worth visiting, although parking at Rhoscolyn beach can be a problem in summer.

I heartily recommend this hideaway for couples - although I shouldn't because we want to keep it to ourselves, we'll definitely be back.

“Enjoyable and relaxing stay, ideal get away accomodation.”
Reviewed 5 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Enjoyable with friendly hosts made for a relaxing stay. Studio is small but well formed and is also a bit of a Tardis in that it had everything you need and with plenty of space! Light and airy with nice decor, good sized ensuite with an excellent shower. Would definitely stay again as it is ideal for a couple, with or without dog (ours was very comfortable as shown by the difficulty in trying to get her to leave on the last day. Thanks to Sophie and Mark, good luck with the cafe/gallery project, look forward to seeing at some stage. Highly recommended.

“A Little Place of Heaven”
Reviewed 1 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We had a fabulous time. It's a lovely part of Rhoscolyn not to far from the beach , there's a wonderful coastal walk that can be 2/3 hours or a 20 min walk, which ever way you wish to go it's a lovely walk, and a great pub The White Eagle not far to walk .
Ty cert/ Cart house is just a wonderful place to stay, so peaceful , just lovely to sit in the garden and watch the sun go down.
Sophie and her husband we're working on the beautiful Chapel and we can't wait to go back in Sept to see how it looks.
Sophie was a Wonderful Host and we can't wait to met her husband. :-)

“Fabulous Place To Stay”
Reviewed 4 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

My daughter and I had had a fabulous stay in this studio apartment. Clean, warm and comfortable in a quiet rural location not too far from the pub and the beach. It suited our needs perfectly and would 100% recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all. The information on directions and places to visit and eat were also very much appreciated and helped us no end. Thank-you Sophie and Mark for making us feel very welcome

Thank you so much for taking the time to such a super review! We have so many happy customers, but the 5 star rewiews are always heartening and heart-warming! So glad you found all the information useful - I know from experience bow frustrating it can be going somewhere for a few precious days, but not knowing where to start in terms of what do do/see or places to eat out! Please say thank you to your daughter for the pretty little shells - I've kept them in the room, in the 'message in a bottle' bottle!!

“Idyllic stay for two”
Reviewed 23 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

My partner and I have just returned from a very restful 2 night stay at Ty Cert. We both really needed a break and Ty Cert was just a perfect place to escape to. When we arrived we were greeted by Sophie, our host and shown to the studio which was well equipped and beautifully decorated. She told us about the area and some nice places to visit. The first night, being dry, be chose to take a stroll to the local pub (The White Eagle). It was only a short pleasant walk away and was very welcoming and cosy. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well, so much so we need a new bed at home now!! The shower was, as stated in other reviews, excellent as well. Day two, rain but that didn't stop us enjoying a beautiful scenic coastal walk, RSPB reserve, South Stack lighthouse and Beaumaris then back to the cosy studio for a restful evening before leaving the next day, back to the daily grind!! To Sophie and Mark, thank you for really wonderful break in a beautiful setting. We wish you all the best for the on going renovations and do hope we can escape our 6 children and come and stay again.
Claire and Ronnie. x

So glad you had a nice stay. It was lovely meeting you and we're so grateful for the kind review. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply - I had a Mac for a few months and it wouldn't work with trip-advisor at all! Next time you're in the area come and see how the renovations are coming along - and perhaps have a cuppa in the new tearooms - were hoping to be open this summer. All the best and take care, Soph and Mark X

“Just what we needed”
Reviewed 4 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

After both of us falling ill over Christmas my partner and I weren't exactly looking forward to this stay to begin with, however when we got there it was the most relaxing, peaceful stay and just what we needed to get us back on our feet for the new year.
The studio is equipped with everything you could need, the TV wasn't working for our stay which was a shame but not a necessity.
We ventured out to nearby towns such as holyhead, (the town with the longest name that I wont even attempt to write here!) and Newborough, which were all lovely and worth a visit.
We had an awful dining experience at Nuhu restaurant in Holyhead but the studio's warm welcome when we got back helped lift our spirits once again.
Don't miss out! This is perfect for a chilled weekend away.

So sorry for the late reply - my Mac just wouldn't work with tripadvisor! Anyway, all sorted now! Thank yo so much for the kind review. TV is all working now - Mark had to climb onto the roof to sort the signal out - we do get VERY strong winds here on the coast...which can knock things about a bit! The only place I'd recommend to eat out in Holyhead is The Waterfront...everything else is pretty awful! However, there are LOADS of gorgeous restaurants on Anglesey - just ask me next time and I'll give you some recommendations! Take care and thank you once again X
