“The most wonderful and beautiful place to stay with friends”
Reviewed 18 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Truly the best place I have ever stayed in. Luxurious and comfortable with fabulous attention to detail. Everything was provided for us down to a welcoming bottle of white wine and flowers on arrival. The house was spotless and beautiful and attention to detail was impeccable.
The customer service we received from Sue and her housekeeper Irene was professional and friendly at all times.
I would certainly recommend this house and I fully intend to return with my family next year.
Thank you Sue for making our stay so very special.

Reviewed 4 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We spent 4 nights with close family celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary at Tan y Cytiau.
Accommodation was first class - very spacious and clean. Kitchen well equipped. Garden excellent for children's games. Thanks Sue - we have booked for 2015!

“Lovely house with great views on a fantastic island”
Reviewed 4 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

The Holy Island coastline is stunning. Despite being high season there is plenty of room on the beaches. Bring a boat if you are that way inclined. Opportunities to swim, explore, rock clamber (or climb), fish, enjoy the scenery, the wildlife or just chill.

Tan Y Cytiau has stunning views over Holy Island, local bays (real sea view) across to the Snowdonian mountains. It is a large house split into two parts. Each has part is has a sheltered private garden within the large grounds with outdoor dining and BBQ. The house is comfortable, well kept and clean. The owner is most helpful. Furniture, decor and fittings are good quality. We were in the smaller part. The second floor is a good sized twin bedroom and a snug with sofa, table and telly, perfect for teenagers. Downside: 1 bathroom for 4 bedrooms, but there is an additional loo.

“Beautiful House in a Beautiful area.”
Reviewed 4 February 2013 for a stay in January 2013

We rented this house for a weekend break to celebrate a family birthday. Although the weather was not good we enjoyed our stay and would love to go back in better weather. The gardens are good although the time we went was not the best to appreciate them. There are some good walks in the area and if you visit you must see the lighthouse, if you don't mind the 400 steps down to it!
One small gripe. My daughter wasn't happy that she had to keep her dog on a lead whilst the owners dog wondered freely in the garden of our rental house.
Apart from this it was a good break and we would recommend Tan-y-Cytiau to anyone thinking of going

“Does what it says on the tin-and more”
Reviewed 5 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

House was beautiful ( but Sue wasn't prepared to sell). We travelled narrowly, kept within 45 min. drive, had to get back to the house!. Walking was pleasant or as terrifying as you wanted to make it. (Some rugged terrain) R.S.B.P Reserve was on doorstep and views from there and also the house were superb. The Bara Brith that was left for us on arrival was another highlight I highly reccomend this house and I have already to all that will listen. Want to return soon, so hope Sue does not sell, unless to me! Oh I forgot, separate fridge for the beer and great WiFi coverage.

Liked least: A few rattles in the windows was the ONLY niggle, fixed with bits of newspaper. Given that it was very windy.
