Can’t rate this property enough, it was perfect. The views are breathtaking, from the sofa, from the balcony, from lying in bed and also sat outside! We saw several dolphins. Then the beach is outside so the kids often went alone whilst we watched. Very quiet area so very safe.
The bedrooms are great, spacious, beds so comfy and lovely thick curtains. We slept well.
The kitchen is very well stocked, no problems cooking when our family visited.
A great place, very friendly owner. We will be back
This review is for Awel Y Mor which is next door to Persawr Y Mor and is identical apart from the bathroom.
High quality modest sized house with a superb sea view.....perfect for up to 4 people.
I will not rewrite previous reviews .....all the good bits are true.
There is nothing better than waking up to the sound and uninterrupted view of the sea while on holiday whatever the weather.
I am not going to sell this too hard lest it gets completely booked up for next year when we want to return, needless to say it is very good.
We stayed in the adjoining property at the end of August and were lucky enough to have good weather so that we could take full advantage of the balcony and patio with their wonderful views. We spent many evenings on the balcony with a bottle of wine watching the amazing sunsets. It was a perfect spot to enjoy some early morning strolls along the beach too. The house was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. It was in a quiet location and everything was in easy walking distance. We can thoroughly recommend a stay here.
This review is for Awel Y Mor which is next door to Persawr Y Mor and is identical apart from the bathroom. The house was amazing - I have never been to somewhere in the UK with such a quality level of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment. It really felt like home from home. And of course, the added bonus of having the sea on your doorstep! It's an upside down house in that the bedroom is downstairs and the sitting room is upstairs; but you can't beat opening the bedroom curtains in the morning and seeing the sea in front of you! The bedroom has a door from which you access the promenade and the lounge has a deck balcony so you can sit out on a sunny afternoon (yes they do exist in Wales).
Parking and access was very simple and straightforward.
It was a handy place for exploring Mid-Wales, we went on a drive to Cadair Idris (the big mountain of the area), then to Dolegellau, Porthmadoc, Harlech and Barmouth; Aberystwyth is a 1hr drive away; Barmouth is 30 minutes on the train and Aberdovey is just 5 minutes on the train or probably an hour on foot.
The house is a 5 minute walk from the shops which include a Co-Op and a Spar selling local produce.
We have been visiting this amazing place every Whitsun for the past 8 years. The house is a brilliant place to stay and to discover the local area and amble along the beautiful beach. The house has all your need for a family holiday. Amazing
We have been staying at Awel y Mor for about ten years. We love the beach location and being able to walk into Tywyn. It is also convenient for touring north Wales, but we usually find we run out of holiday time before we run out of things to do locally. There are many stunning walks to do within a ten minute drive, but the train is also convenient and reliable if you wish to venture further afield without using your car. The house is decorated to a high standard and nothing is too much trouble for the owners or housekeeper.
Had a long weekend in this lovely little house. Spotlessly clean and everything you would need. Fabulous view, couldn't get any nearer to the sea! Tywyn has some lovely places to eat and is convenient for plenty mire to see. Would definately stay again. Thanks to Anna for the helpful correspondence too.
