Myself and a friend were on a biking tour around Wales and after a long hot ride up from Cardiff we were exhausted, the welcome we received was second to none. Staff were friendly and the service was excellent, as was the food and all reasonably priced. After dinner we relaxed in the bar where we were suitably entertained by our hosts, the owners Kev and Sue. I would highly recommend this establishment to all my friends and will certainly be booking in there when I return to Wales.

We called in for a meal as the place we really wanted to go to in Towyn was closed on Sundays. The food was reasonably priced and the quality was fine, if slightly bland, but what ruined the experience was having to listen to the locals in there swearing at the tops of their voices after obviously being in there for a fair while drinking.
The bar and lounge have been opened up into one room, which is fine, but if you are going to do that then the staff have to ensure that the people who are coming in to have meals with their families do not have to sit and listen to a stream of load, offensive language.
All the serving staff were very young and maybe they did not feel confident enough to ask customers to tone things down, in which case a simple sign above the bar kindly asking customers to keep language clean might be an idea.
I am no prude but this went beyond what was acceptable and we couldn't wait to leave....

The place was packed and the staff rushed off there feet. Our party of 4 was served pretty quickly and the food was hot and to a good standard. The menu is very limited and was told that we could not pay by card as there was a problem with the machine. Other parties around us were complaining of the time taken to be served and that some people were getting food as a priority - probably regulars or locals. Will not recommend or go back at peak times as they cannot cope when full
