3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 August 2013 via mobile

Room was ok large and clean. Luckily we had one at the back. Otherwise you could be facing a busy car park. No breakfast was included a bit disappointing. We had dog with us . Had to drive to find a good spot for walking. Food options not very good. Only fast food. Would not stay here again.

We arrived at Magoy Service area at about 1am and thought it very unlikely we would find a decent place to sleep but before we camped in the car we thought we would check inside the Days Inn. We were met by a friendly gentleman at reception and managed to get one of the last rooms, the room actually shown in the picture above, which was big and spacious with a double bed and the couch which can be used as two single beds. For the price we paid we were extremely happy and really enjoyed the room. It had all necessary amenities, a good tv, hair-dryer, large bathroom, tea and coffee, etc. It was very good value for money.

Good place for a rest stop if you've had enough driving for the day!
On the way to the Speedway GP in Cardiff and was ideal for a Friday night stop!
Obviously at the service area so lots of people coming and going but a good nights sleep and friendly staff. McDonalds and Costa next door for a quick snack!
Downside, no air-conditioning so not great on a hot day (not as if we get many in the UK)!
If their was a Good rating I would give it, but not quite up to very good standard.
Would we stay again...yes!

This was perfect for our very short stop on our road trip. Reception staff were very helpful and recommended us to a local pub in Magor , a sweet little Welsh village, bypassed by the major M4 highway, where we had an excellent dinner. The motel is part of a roadside stop with many fast and cheap places to eat if you don't want to drive to the village. With Days Inn you know what you're going to get, a decent night's sleep, in a clean and comfortable room. Good value.

Needed somewhere to stay at short notice and cheap - found this place on an app whilst parked outside the Ibis one junction along. Booked on Days Inn mobile website and 15 minutes there. Excellent front desk staff - she was a real ambassador for Days Inn and Wyndham Rewards. Also recommended a good and very popular restaurant in the town centre,

This place was clearly not built as a Days Inn as the general furnishings are fairly old, still has a conventional key to open the bedroom door etc. However it was clean and comfortable and did the job for the 8 or so hours I was there. It does need refurbishment, especially bathrooms showing signs of age, but Days Inn will probably be able to get another 4 or 5 years out of the place before that is required.

In summary a low cost night stop but not somewhere to an extended stay! If life ever took me to this part of the world I would happily use this hotel again.

We are long term travellers from Australia and are ever watchful of our finances so staying at Days Inn at Magor in Wales was a logical choice. The room was very well presented and contained everything needed for an overnight or several days stay.
Whilst Days Inn is a room-only establishment, they are located as part of a large Services Area on the M4 so there are several eating options available including McDonalds, Costa Coffee and another eatery plus the usual Services location regulars.
The staff at Days Inn were fantastic and greeted us, and other guests, with a big smile and loads of information about their place. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them.
The rooms are not noisy and most have a nice view either over the woodland at the rear or the car park out front where there is lots of movement, but no noise!
A most enjoyable stay which we plan to repeat before we return to Australia.

I stayed here for a weekend and needed a pet friendly hotel that didn't charge the earth. The rates for pets is the best I have found. I would book with Days Inn again if they don't increase the pet charge to silly rates like Travelodge do. The hotel was spotless and the rooms are a nice size. The staff made the stay so enjoyable. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and so helpful. One member of staff called Louise made the stay even better with her great sense of humour whilst still being professional. My mum who was staying at another hotel even came to stay on the Saturday as this hotel was better than the one she and my aunty were in. Thank you Days Inn staff.
