My brothers and I met up around Aberaeron at the end of October for a family occasion, we stayed at the Falcondale and absolutely loved it. Obviously, we didn't see it in glorious sunshine but the grounds are beautiful and our room had quaint charm. The food was excellent and the menu is incredibly flexible which impressed the members of our family who joined us for a meal. On the second night we did not want a big meal but the chef was particularly accommodating and managed to produce us some excellent sandwiches to eat in the lounge. Our hosts were excellent, they could not have been more helpful so we totally recommend the Falcondale; I hope we can return there!

I spent one night at Falcondale on the Groupon deal, which included dinner, bed and breakfast. The stay was relaxing and memorable from the moment we arrived. We were given a glass of complimentary champagne and shown to a comfy sofa by on open fire while our bags were taken to our room. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. We stayed in a 'better' room and found it to be very clean and comfortable. The decor was a bit dated, but everything was pleasant and we had a very good night's sleep. the food was the highlight of the stay. Dinner was fabulous and the produce was locally sourced. Breakfast was equally impressive and both meals were excellent value and quality. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I spend a lovely 2 nights at the Falcondale, our second visit on one of their excellent Groupon deals. Although not the plan when we made the booking, this ended up being the culmination of our Welsh 'mini-moon' and we'd definitely saved the best for last.

It is one of the most peaceful and relaxing places we've stayed at, and once again we felt instantly at home and comfortable. A luxurious and high class hotel that can also make it's guests feel so at home is a rare thing, and something that makes the Falcondale very special.

Our room at the front of the hotel was tastefully decorated, with excellent facilities including classy magazines, comfy arm chairs, free wi-fi, ground coffee, bathrobes and a view to die for. The hotel provides guides and maps for walks in the local area. We ate in the hotel restaurant on both nights and once again the quality of the food was amazing. I've been raving about the chefs signature welsh cheese soufflé ever since. The choice at breakfast was also excellent. It was also great to have the option of a very nice local real ale in the bar.

The staff couldn't have been more attentive or helpful and you really felt like nothing was too much trouble.

Groupon deal or not, we will definitely be back next year.

We are so glad that you chose to stay at The Falcondale for your "mini moon". Thank you very much for your lovely review, it is always great when we see guests return to us.

The real ale is "Cwrw" from Evan & Evans Brewery in Llandeilo. If this is not available on your next stay, we also have bottle conditioned Penlon ales from Llanon.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

We were looking forward to what was advertised as a Gourmet Weekend....and we were not disapointed. The hotel and all the staff are very pleasant, efficient, welcoming and helpful.....with a special mention to the culinary team who did a grand job, backed up by a comprehensive and well priced wine list and bar.

We were lucky enough to have reasonable weather for November, and managed to enjoy the wonderful walks from the hotel, which is set in a beautiful part of Wales....complete with a number of acres of finely tended landscaping.

Cannot wait to return

Ralph and Jan Homan

We enjoyed a 2 night stay at the falcondale and enjoyed every minute. The room was beautifully decorated and the view on waking from the 4 poster bed was amazing. All the staff made us feel very welcome especially the owners Lisa and Chris. The food was fantastic and we will definately return in the summer. Thank you for a great weekend.

Room Tip: View from room 6 is stunning

Had a special offer via Groupon and it certainly was special.
An excellent evening with fab food, which started with afternoon tea, a 7 course taster menu and breakfast. The room was lovely recently decorated with a modern bathroom and good shower, the staff were very helpful and friendly, a really good place to stay. The icing on the cake, was a log fire.
