My second visit and look forward to returning. Delightful hostess, welcoming but not overwhelming. Able to provide lots of information on the area. Swimming pool, yoga lessons (if you want them), outstanding breakfast, very comfortable. Views of the sea - stunning landscapes and coast line. Absolutely beautiful and uplifting area. What more could you want?

Awel Fan is a highly recommended experience. We had a warm reception with (welsh cakes) from Karen, who was practical, very clear and communicative, helpful and pleasant. We had a good seaview. All the coastal walks for miles around are very beautiful, quite breathtaking, the combination of rockface, grasses, flowers, birds, sea, light is equal to anywhere I've seen in the British Isles.

We received a very warm welcome from Karen and enjoyed some lovely home made Welsh cakes in the conservatory after settling in to our room. The room was very spacious and clean with a fantastic view of the sea. We had a surprisingly large private bathroom which was also very clean. Karen was the perfect host from the start, finding out what we wanted from our stay and giving us some excellent advice on where to eat and places to see. We thoroughly enjoyed the coastal walk from Trefin to Porthgain where we relaxed over an evening meal ( with 'liquid refreshment') with the sun setting across the port. The B&B is in a great location for sightseeing either towards Fishguard or St Davids in the opposite direction. We were given a warm welcome every morning and were served with a wonderful breakfast to set us up for all the walking we did. Ramsay and Skomer islands are well worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly contact Karen for a room when we return.

This B&B is located midway between St Davids and Fishgard. The host (Karen) is very welcoming and really made us feel at home. The feeling is of very personalised service, this is definitely not a "mass production" B&B.

Karen has good ideas of what to do in the area that would be difficult to find without local advice. She suggested a walk along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path (beginning about a mile from the B&B) to a nearby village for dinner. The village was in a tiny cove with steep cliffs on either side, a spectacular location to watch the sun set.

The rooms at the front of the B&B have a lovely view towards the Pembrokeshire coast and sea. With the windows open, there was some traffic sound, but fortunately the road wasn't busy. Not sure if any of the rooms have en suites, our two rooms didn't, but the bathroom is large and well supplied.

There is a pool and a conservatory for breakfast. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon are highly recommended!

Thankyou for the review, just thought I would respond re. ensuite. I have now been graded by Visit Wales and have 4 stars.I have one very large ensuite room with sea views from 3 windows, a double bed, a small sofa , a single bed with a pull out bed under and a very spacious bathroom. The other two twin rooms have a seperate luxury bathroom, however I only let to a single party. I have just completed a 2 person self contained unit with shared use of the pool.I have only just discovered this site by a guest who told me about it! Will encourage guests to submit reviews! Great idea.
