If you after a busy pub with some classic pub food go here. Busy like mad on weekend nights, but it ads to the charm.

Thought this might be a nice place for lunch, according to TA reviews. Although fairly busy, several itinerants propped against the bar should have warned me off.
Menu was basic pub grub and ordered gammon steak, chips and a pot of tea.
Tea was fine - if you ignore the dirty cup, however, the gammon steak was dreadful, having an off taste. Literally, I disgorged the small piece in my mouth into a napkin and that was it.
Several times the waiter/waitress passed by and looked at my untouched plate but said nothing. If I'm honest, the clientele were so dubious that I wouldn't have felt safe criticising the food. On this occasion, I paid the £11 and left.
All in all, a place to give a wide berth!

The Trader has the best Sunday Roast in Pembrokeshire. If you are looking for Sunday Lunch then look no further. Turkey, Beef and Pork and you can have all three! Beautifully cooked vegetables, a real treat.

Can't fault the Sunday Carvery, one of the better meals in the area.
But the weekly menu has slipped since a chain has opened up the street, a real shame. You can't beat good home grown and cooked fair.

Best located pub in the town, lovely building on the banks of the river with a park opposite. In the summer everybody sits in the front garden and on the wall. Usually a good atmosphere and a separate dining area.
