“outstanding 5* b&b with outstanding 5* hosts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2013

Attended wedding at picton castle over bank holiday weekend and this B&B came highly recommended.
That frankly is the understatement of the year.
This georgian house is elegant, tastefully decorated , very comfortable and has two pet chickens charging about laying tomorrows breakfast eggs in a beautiful garden setting!
All food is locally sort and is a delight.
Lastly, but the cream on the cake, the hosts Veronica and Phillip were the best hosts imaginable.
My recommendation to trip advisor would be to create a new category 6, starting right here!!!!

Room Tip: all rooms excellent.

We stayed at elegant Crundale House, to attend a retirement party nearby. The property is very stylish and set in a peaceful location, with wonderful landscaped gardens. On arrival we were presented with a tray of tea and coffee and best of all, Veronica's hand baked raspberry and almond muffins....yummy! Later that evening, Phillip very kindly drove us to our party venue, demonstrating a service above and beyond the call of duty! We slept very well that night, the mattress was luxurious, marshmallow softness but supportive too. Breakfast was a banquet of deliciousness, a combination of freshly, home made and quality, locally sourced produce. A perfect stay, five star luxury and five star hosts! Thank you, Veronica and Phillip for your kindness and hospitality.

We stayed for 2 nights to attend a family event in the area. It is situated in a beautiful, peaceful location. We had a warm welcome, with offer of tea and home-made cakes, were shown the spacious sitting room and the dining room, and everywhere was full of character and beautifully decorated. Our room was superb - spacious, very comfortable, and with an enormous bathroom with bath & shower. Lovely thick towels and all the toiletries you might need there available for you. Our breakfasts in the morning were wonderful, with lots of choice, and the use of local suppliers made them very tasty indeed! Phil and Veronica made us very welcome and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful B&B to anyone.

We stayed at Crundale House on Friday 29th March for just 1 night as we were catching the ferry from Fishguard to Southern Ireland on the Saturday & needed somewhere nearby to break up the journey. We had previously done a lot of research on various Bed & Breakfasts within a reasonable travelling distance of the port at Fishguard & settled on Crundale House.
As we were on our honeymoon we were keen to find somewhere that offered a touch of luxury and booked the Rudbaxton room which had a beautiful window seat & super views over the gardens as well as an amazing bathroom which was huge with a fabulous freestanding bath.
You could not fail to be impressed with the elegance of the decor & the extremely high quality of the fixtures & fittings.
The homemade flapjack & welsh cakes provided by Veronica were as good as any you would find in an excellent bakery & presented beautifully! Breakfast was a real treat with perfectly cooked scrambled eggs & local smoked salmon.
Phil & Veronica were extremely welcoming & friendly hosts which is an added bonus to this real gem of a B&B.
Anyone looking for a first class B&B in this area should look no further. Crundale House offers 5 star accomodation at an extremely reasonable price we will definately visit again!

We stayed here in June last year for just one night as we were on a business trip.

What an absolutely stunning place. We were greeted with a pot of tea and home made lemon cake, led to a room that was so beautiful with local lambs wool rugs, portmeirion china - just gorgeous. the bathroom was luxurious and superbly stylish. Breakfast the next morning was a delight - all produce sourced locally, cooked to perfection at a family style dining table laden with local jams, honey and Portmerrion china. The hosts were very friendly and also turned out to be from 'down our way' - small world!

I would heartily recommend Crundale House to anyone travelling in this area.

Really delighted that you enjoyed your stay. I have tried to source local food produce for use in the B&B and was delighted to jointly win the Pembrokeshire County Council award for "Best use of Pembrokeshire Produce in a Catering Outlet" in August 2012 - this hopefully shows my commitment to giving a true taste of the locality. Thank you for your very kind comments.

Beautiful house, thoughtful and welcoming hosts, stunning room, delicious breakfast, yummy cakes and home made treats, excellent location for exploring - need we say anymore?!
We stayed in the Rudbaxton room, it's huge, luxurious, spotless and better than some 5* hotels we have stayed in, we didn't want to leave!
Veronica and Philip were amazing hosts and very helpful in recommending best places to visit and things to see and do.
Excellent value for money for a truly personalised and special stay.
Don't think twice, book it! We'll certainly be back soon.
