“A wonderful 'home away from home'”
Reviewed 9 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We spent 4 nights at the Old Coach House and found it very comfortable. It is set in the center of a quiet rural village, but yet it had a very private ambiance. The building has been updated to include many modern conveniences, yet maintains its rustic charm. Upon our arrival we were greeted with fresh flowers and a lovely gift basket of local treats. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking meals, but there are also restaurants not too far away. The location was convenient for our excursions to the coastal areas. The owners have obviously taken much care to ensure a pleasant stay for guests, and we would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone vacationing in the area!

“Beautiful cottage”
Reviewed 2 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A beautiful, clean, well equipped cottage -with an incredibly thoughtful owner. Thank you for an excellent stay and for the very kind food package on arrival. We could not have asked for more. The cottage is much bigger than it looks in the photos, is warm and cosy (esp with one of the two log fires burning!), romantic, has lots of character and everything you could ever need and more. Great location for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast.

“The Perfect Weekend”

From the minute we stepped into this lovely little converted barn, we fell in love with it. Beautiful decor, effortlessly stylish and wonderfully cosy, we immediately lit the (one of two) log burners and settled in.

We brought our own foodie bits along with us but were greeted with a basket of fresh pastries, dark chocolate, crisps, milk, eggs, butter, jams, local roasted coffee... lush! So spoilt.
We did plan to eat out on both of the evenings we stayed, but couldn't drag ourselves away. So we stayed in and cooked, once in the kitchen and once using a disposable BBQ, and ate in front of the fire.

As for places to go, Mary suggested Newgale and Solva among others. Newgale - stunning; a vast beach which we walked along for miles until it was time to head off to Solva for fish and chips. Note - if you do the same, go to Thirty Five for fish and chips - the best we've had!

To conclude - you'd be mad not to stay here. Yes, there's effectively a ladder to get up to bed, and people have had problems with this as I previously read - but it's stable, and a bit of fun! Mary, you should be so, so proud of all you've achieved here and we'd love to come and stay again (if you'll have us!).

P.S. listen to Mary when she gives you directions. I didn't at first - which led us to someone's home down a very narrow single-track lane!!

“Excellent”
Reviewed 26 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

A lot of thought has been given in to making this cottage both practical but comfortable. Despite the weather we enjoyed our stay, helped by a lovely log burner which we hadn't expected to use in August. The cottage is very well equiped, communication with the owner is very good and a welcome basket of goodies was appreciated.

“Gorgeous Holiday Rental”
Reviewed 12 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We arrived and immediately fell in love with this beautiful cottage. There was pleanty of food left for us, and was very clean. The fires are great for staying warm in the evenings, as well as looking very relaxing in the place. Highly recommended!

We have just enjoyed our third stay in this beautiful cottage. The cottage has everything we need for a relaxing stay, a well equipped kitchen including some essentials and a complimentary basket of goodies to start our holiday, a welcome treat after a long journey, thankyou Mary, much appreciated. It has plenty of hot water, towels,a bath and a shower and a very comfortable bed. There is a shed full of logs to use in the log burners but we didn't need to light the fires as the cottage was warm enough.
The cottage is well situated to explore this picturesque part of the country with Newgale beach, St Davids, Solva Harbour and the Preseli hills only a short drive away.

“Perfect, relaxing cottage for our honeymoon”
Reviewed 24 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My husband and I stayed at The Old Coach House for our honeymoon last week. Mary is a pleasure to deal with and is very accommodating. She left a wonderful assortment of groceries for us to get us started off, as well as a 'Happy Honeymoon' card.
The cottage has a lovely relaxing atmosphere as soon as you set foot inside. It is absolutely stunning, the photos on here are lovely but don't do it justice! The log burners make it very cosy (although we stayed in July, I had one on as I got a bit chilly in the evenings - it also allowed hubby to unleash his inner caveman!) There is a good assortment of books to read and it is very well equipped in general, with good WiFi, crockery and cutlery, towel, pillows and bed linen. Some lovely artworks adorn the walls, which I believe are Mary's own.
While most things are a bit of a drive away (although the Llys-Y-Fran reservoir isn't at all far and is worth a visit), it is more than worth it to stay in this gorgeous cottage - but be aware that a car is a must! Also, the steps up to the mezzanine bedroom are steep, so staying at The Old Coach house may not be suitable for everyone and if you stay there, be very careful!
It's difficult to express just how wonderful we thought it was, but my husband and I had such a lovely time staying at The Old Coach House and are hoping to stay again - we are recommending it to people already!
P.s. The food at the nearby Pump on the Green pub is amazing!
