if you are near Ramsey island in south Wales and want to see the coastline from a different angle or view some of the wildlife then take a trip with venture jet.
it is a fantastic, exhilerating trip around the island and the type of boat used combined with the skippers excellant knowledge of the geography of the area means you can get in relly close to view the wildlife and the extraordinary caves etc
we saw loads of seals and cubs,as well as some of the different types of birds that inhabit the cliffs and the crew will be able to tell you what they all are if your knowledge is patchy
make sure you go in full waterproofs or take a change of clothes with you as you WILL get wet.
yes there are other dryer ways of seeing the island but its great watching the envious faces of other boat users when you scream past them, brilliant fun for all the family!!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. You must have been on an Adult Wet and Wild trip. We do have drier options you know! We’ve been working around Ramsey for over 20 years and we still love it so it’s great to share the landscape, wildlife (and of course the fun of a jet boat) with our passengers. It sounds like you visited us in the main seal breeding season (September / October). There’s always plenty to see around Ramsey but if you really want to focus on seals then you chose the right time. Thanks again. Beth

An excellent combination of fun and wonderous sights of the wildlife. The Wet & Wild trip is NOT for the feint hearted! With a really wet and fun spin in the boat ( I didn't think "handbrake turns" were possible in a boat!), but then you get a rest, when the boat moves in quietly to Ramsey Island for a close up of the seals. We were lucky that some youngsters were as curious about us, and came a little closer.
Ramsey Island is full of small and large caves and blowholes which add to the experience, as well as plenty of birds swooping on and off the cliff edges.
The Skipper is VERY knowledgeable about the Island and the wildlife - who thought learning could be so much fun?!
Take a change of clothes and if getting on the boat at St Justinian, take drinks and food to come back to as no food or beverage facilities there.
There are other, less wild boat trips also available for those who aren't sure about their sea legs!
We're definately going back for more next year - Thank You Venture Jet

Thank stuers

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. So glad you enjoyed your trip – we do try! The Wet and Wild is our most popular trip (and not always soaking wet!) It’s really interesting to see passengers’ views of things. St Justinian is beautiful but of course at best you have portaloos and as you say there’s nowhere to get drinks, food etc. Whitesands is a stunning family beach with loos, a café and lifeguards and large car park (best to arrive by 11.30 in peak season though). We run from the beach where possible in the summer but last summer wasn’t exactly beach weather was it? Hence the decision to run from St Justinian more often than we usually would. Fingers crossed for better weather this year. Have a great time on your Pembrokeshire holiday whatever you do. Thanks. Beth
