“Family Break”
Reviewed 25 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We had a brilliant stay at Awel y Bryn.
It started off on a welcoming foot with a tea, coffee and cake waiting to welcome us!
This holiday let is like a home from home so well equipped all you need is you, clothes and food everything else is waiting for you. Which was a happy surprise with small children. I didn't need to bring the children plates/mug etc as there were plastic plates and etc there along with toys/DVD and a whole host of books for the bedtime reading even beach toys and outside little house for the children to play in. The adults by no means were forgot either as again DVD and books a plenty and if you did have poor weather which I glad to say we did not you could if fancied cooking with the kids as there is the equipment and recipe books.
The only negative comment would not be about the house even though in some comments people have made remarks about the furnishing which yes some are dated but to be honest they are clean and in good condition and do the job designed for so do not see the problem, personal taste set aside! is the fact the shops opening hours are not what I'm use to as my local stay open to 10pm 7 days a week but this is really not a problem but something to be aware of!
I would recommend both Awel y Bryn and St Davids with its breath taking views and scenery to anyone, and the bonus is the weekend we went it was busy enough but not too busy just perfect. A great place one I would love to visit again.

“We love this warm, welcoming house with amazing views”
Reviewed 8 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Fiona & Fraser are excellent hosts, beginning with the home made Bara Brith as part of the welcome pack. The house is spacious, very clean and well equipped. What makes it special are the far reaching views to the beautiful coastline. Just a stone's throw from the coastal path and lots of great walking and biking and numerous other watery activities! A few minutes walk into St David's itself for shops, cafes, bars, restaurants. The sound of the nearby Cathedral bells is beautiful. We will definitely be back, thanks for a lovely week.

“A lovely, well-appointed and maintained house ideal for a large group and in an excellent location”
Reviewed 21 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The welcome tray was very much appreciated after a long journey. We had booked an evening Tesco delivery (from Haverfordwest) which saved holiday time shopping for food.
The house was ideal for our party of young children, adults and grandparents and beautifully equipped for catering and relaxing - the views past the cathedral to the coast are quite superb, especially the sunsets.
It was as comfortable and well-appointed as home so we didn't feel as though we were in a featureless holiday let.
The children (2 and 6) enjoyed the proximity of the adventure playground and also the bigger playground in town which is also suitable for older children.
The supermarket (CK - Nisa), shops and restaurants are all nearby and we thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Whitesands beach, the Stackpole Estate (NT) and Pembroke Castle, where the children were able to stroke real baby dragons!
As well as the games equipment in the garage there are buckets and spades, beach mats and a windbreak, and even a kite.
We appreciated the personal attention of Fiona and Fraser who called by to check that everything was OK for us.
We would thoroughly recommend this house.

“Ideal large property and location, highly recommended.”
Reviewed 11 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Awel y Bryn is situated in a perfect location, on a quiet road, only a few minutes easy walk from the centre of St David's and near to the costal path. We loved the design of the house with the raised lounge and kitchen areas providing wonderful costal views and evening sunsets. The house was well equipped with everything needed for a holiday, despite us being a party of extended family with teenagers and grandparents. Fiona was very hospitable and efficient in dealing with the booking; the welcome pack was much appreciated after our long journey. Highly recommended.
