this is a lovely house, with every facility you could wish for for a family holiday. For rainy weather there are games, table tennis, pool and DVDs. For sun, a lovely garden with barbeque., and an amazing west facing balcony for evenings.
The location is perfect, walking distance to town, cathedral and coast path, beaches. This was our 3rd year visiting, and already booked for next year. The owners are very helpful with anything you need to know.
This was a trip down memory lane for myself (52), my mum (83) and my two children (31,33), as we used to holiday in St Davids every year. My dad passed away ten years ago, so the trip was for him........and let me tell you, it ticked all the boxes.
The house was perfect and right in the centre of St Davids, so no need to get the car out. Yes there are some things that are dated in the house but we thought this added to the charm and made it feel very home from home. If you forget anything, don't worry because there is absolutely EVERYTHING at the house.
We visited Whitesands beach, which was about a five minute drive away and also PorthClais, Solva and St Justinians - which were all great.
We ate out at St Davids Kitchen - Wow and Bishops pub, which was fantastic.
We all had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone. We would gladly return.....hopefully very soon.
Had a lovely stay here with my family. House is conveniently situated but quite a long walk from the beach, however it is mostly flat so not too bad.The house has everything you need for a self catering break, and the gardens are lovely. Really enjoyed it. Thanks.
Very close location to everything you need in town. Comfortably fit our group of 8. It had everything we needed and even accomodated for us all to eat together. We loved being able to walk to everything and the beds were also really comfy. We came for a wedding and the bridal party was able to easily go back and forth to all the locations needed
We had a family get together between myself and wife, my brother and our cousin and his French wife. We had the option of extra beds so that our children might visit.
Fiona makes you very welcome and the house has a lovely lived in feel that really suited us. The locals in the (excellent) Farmer's Arms local referred to the place as the 'upside down house' because the living room is upstairs. This has the major advantage of having coastal views and sunsets.
We spend a week doing parts of the Pembrokeshire coast path and visiting lovely country pubs during the day - my favourite being the Dyffryn Arms in the lovely Gwaum valley.
I recommend this part of the world and Fiona's place is an excellent homely place to camp out. It felt like home almost from the first moment.
