Very good cafe at visitor centre. Wide and imaginative range of freshly cooked dishes featuring local produce. Helpful & friendly staff. Leave room for the cakes!

“restaurant/cafe attached to gallery/Information centre”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

Dropped outside after a circular bus tour of the region, we were delighted to find this friendly little establishment serving a variety of hot and cold meals or snacks. Everything was fresh and "home-cooked", and served swiftly and willingly by the helpful staff.
Inside or outside seating is available, and there is a general air of unhurried relaxation. Good value for money too.

Thank you so much for your review. We do try to be helpful and efficient in our service and our menu is indeed as "home made" as possible with a good range of local produce. We have a range of dishes to suit all diets and are currently making our own bagels and scotch eggs. We do hope you come and see us again. Many thanks.

“Always a pleasurable experience!!”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

My partner and I eat at Oriel y Parc several times a month .. it is by far the best cafe/restaurant in St Davids. The quality of the food has consistently been of an extremely high standard and the menu choice is fabulous .. there are also some wonderful (and very tasty) vegetarian options. The staff are super friendly and every single one of them demonstrates a "nothing is too much trouble" approach .. a quality which is rare indeed. We always enjoy visiting this venue .. it's always such a pleasurable experience in every way!

Thank you so much for your complimentary review. We are so glad you have enjoyed your experiences with us and hope that you continue to do so. We are currently working on a few new dishes, including our own scotch eggs served with pesto and sun-dried tomatoes and our own bagels with various fillings, of course with vegetarian options available. Many thanks again for taking the time to review us.

“Great fresh and healthy food”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

It is surprisingly difficult to find a really good place for lunch in St. David's but the Oriel was recommended to us by locals and came out on top on TripAdvisor so we went for it. I'm glad to say we didn't regret it! They do fresh soups, baguettes, jacket potatoes and other light meals but the best is the seafood specials - I had a salad with a half lobster that was both great to look at and great to eat.
Other benefits: the car park next door, free Wi-Fi, regular art exhibitions

Thank you so much for your review and for taking the time to upload a picture also. Our lobster comes in every Friday and is a special featured every weekend. We source our lobster and crab from the next village of Solva, our cheese is made less than a mile way, which we serve with our soup and we also use our local butcher and fruit and veg supplier here in St Davids. We are lucky enough to be housing an exhibition of works in our gallery by Sir Peter Blake, illustrations of Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood. The gallery is free to enter and this current exhibition will be with us for the Summer. Many thanks again, for choosing to come to us for lunch , hope to see you again.

“Choices for vegans”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

What an excellent cafe with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. We both keep to a strict dairy free diet and practically vegan, for health reasons. How wonderful to find they keep soya milk and dairy free spread and there were several choices on the menu for us!! We were staying at Little Haven for the week and visited this cafe on 3 occasions as we liked it so much!! The butternut squash and chickpea tagine is fantastic and the vegan breakfast is a real treat. There was also a cake which was suitable too, unheard of normally in other eateries. We would like to heartily recommend this wonderful cafe and its helpful and friendly staff.

We hope to see you again soon and hope you enjoyed your visit to Pembrokeshire.
