We booked a weekend here for 3 nights and it was absolutely lovely. The cottage itself is located on a wonderful little farm in-between a few farm buildings. Inside has been renovated to a very high standard with WiFi, quality furnishing and finishing throughout. Everything was spotlessly clean. We especially loved the heated flooring! With unspoiled views over the fields to the coast you couldn't ask for a more idyllic little getaway place. St Davids is only a short drive (5 mins) or better only a 15 min walk and is a beautiful 'city'. We will most certainly look to book again one day! - Thank you.

“Fabulous venue - you've got to try it.”
Reviewed 1 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Cariad Cottage was like a breath of fresh air at the end of a dull winter. The location is easy to find and within a 10 minute walk of both the beach/cliffs and St Davids. Lots of places nearby, beautiful beaches, stunning scenery and coastline. Plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants nearby so lots to do. The cottage itself is beautifully renovated by the owners who live in the barn conversion next door. Very friendly couple, Rob and Christine who made us very welcome. The cottage has been very tastefully finished with local stone, slate and oak. All mod cons, lovely bathroom, small double bedroom and a fully fitted kitchen with new units, appliances and granite worktops. Underfloor heating downstairs which was lovely. The sitting room with dining table is upstairs, leading out on to a balcony with bistro table and chairs overlooking the fields and to the sea. A real sun-catcher of an area. Made very welcome by the owners who left tea, coffee, milk, eggs and welsh cakes for our arrival. All in all a lovely time and sorry to have to come home. You need to try it!

“Excellent”

The details on the website looked excellent - and we were not disappointed! The cottage is charming, excellently equipped and furnished. The owners, Christine & Rob were very welcoming and the welsh cakes and eggs were an added bonus! Would definitely recommended this lovely cottage for a relaxing break in a beautiful area. Bertie, our springer spaniel, loved the beach which is only 400 yards away. Look forward to return visit sometime.

“Beautiful Place.”
Reviewed 16 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Having needed a few days rest leading up to our impending arrival of our first child Cariad Cottage was the perfect place to visit and stay.

Lovely accommodation with every facility required totally available.

Stunning views of the coast. We loved sitting on the balcony morning and evening watching the sunset.

Rob and Christine were on hand for any questions and always showed a friendly smile.

Pictures don't do this beautiful place it's justice however cannot wait to recommend here to friends and family and will definately be returning next year.

“Absolutely Fabulous!”
Reviewed 16 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

I had a wonderful 4 nights stay at the delightful Cariad cottage, to recharge my batteries away from the demands of family life, last week. The cottage has been beautifully designed and built; with the upstairs room being made into a lovely light-filled sitting room with dining area; and double glass doors leading out onto a private balcony with sea views. Downstairs is a very well equipped kitchen - I can't think of a single thing extra that I could have needed; a bathroom with a very good power shower; and a cosy double bedroom. Robert and Christine are lovely hosts - friendly and welcoming (freshly made welsh cakes, milk, etc in the kitchen for my arrival) and have made all the little touches in the cottage that make it feel, not like a holiday let, but like a home. Add to that, the stunning location - walk across two fields and you are at Caerfi beach and the Pembrokeshire coastal path; and all I can say, is i will definitely be back - i might even let my husband go next time too!

“Excellent Christmas!!!!!!”

We stayed with Christine and Rob over Christmas and they certainly went the extra mile. They provided a Christmas tree, lights and presents which was much more than we ever expected.

The cottage / barn conversion itself is really nicely done and has all the mod cons (under floor heating, the best power shower etc) while still keeping the cottage feel. It's situated within walking distance of St Davids and is right by the costal path with the right mix of isolation and amenities availability.

We'll be back again, Rich

Liked least: We came during the windest time of year but with the bedroom being on the ground floor it didn't affect us to much.
