The food tastes like it is bought frozen, warmed up in a microwave and served. The place could do much better than its present standard

We took potluck and called in for an evening meal. There were four of us and the two of the meals had chips; we had to send both of these back as both portions were cold. I had ordered fishcakes which when they turned up were miniscule.
The service was friendly but on the slow side.
I think the moral of this review is if you are going into the "pub grub" market do it right first time.

This is a good local pub. If you are staying in the village, it is worth visiting for a meal or drink. The food is reasonably priced, and the servings are large. Good pub food, and a good atmosphere.

On our recent 3-day break we ended up having most of our meals out at The Ship Inn. The service was friendly and the pub has a lovely generous and homely atmosphere, not flashy. For dinners we had sea bass with new potatoes and salad and fish pie from the board. We also tried the steak and ale pie from the standard menu; all delicious. For lunch we had their excellent crab sandwich served with salad. There are pleasant places to sit inside and out. Inside you can choose either the cosy bar or the restaurant which has beautiful views over fields. There is a delightful garden with picnic tables at the back for fair weather days.

Good food and beer. Excellent and helpful service. This is a classic old Welsh pub. Always a joy to stop off here: long may it continue.
