The welcome by Sandra and Sion, plus the locals, was very warm and again nothing was too much trouble for them.
No black cat this time. Has he retired as well as Betty ? Was great to see Betty while we were there. Sorry we didn't good bye to you Betty. We left a little earlier than last time.
We hope to stay again later this year.

Stayed for just one night and the reviews on this one were much better than my other option in Carmarthen itself. I just wanted an overnight stay but you get a great welcome and a nice stay in a double room with ensuite and a great breakfast for an extremely good price. Well worth taking a trip up the valley to this homely place. Proprietors are most welcoming and nice people. recommend this highly.

Stayed at the Inn for 3 nights in mid September.
Bett is a wonderful host and chef, and John (Sion, Shawn, Shaugn) is the classic friendly Bar host.
He was a gold mine of local Beer and Spirits information.
We witnessed a wonderful Welsh music/comedy event at the Pub on Friday night. What a great night to remember. Locals were most friendly, even to us travelling from California!.
Will be back again next year.

Room Tip: Stay at their adjoining cottage, if you can.....

We wish to put on record that we stayed three nights here in October and found every-one very friendly and welcoming (even the black cat belonging to one of the locals) and that nothing was too much trouble. Our thanks for our oustanding stay, despite the weather, go to all. Especially Bet and Shaugn, both of who looked after us in their different positions of hospitality, We shall definitely stay with you next time we visit relatives in Carmarthenshire.
Thankyou
ps. Sean, sorry if your name is spelt incorrectly you will have to put us right next time we see you.

Room Tip: Take what-ever you are offered all wil be equally good.

This is a great B and B in off-the-beaten-track Wales. Betty is a terrific cook, who prepares excellent breakfasts and evening meals upon request. Sion, who tends bar, has a lively personality and creates a warm atmosphere in which guests are provided the opportunity to mix and mingle with locals. Much recommended. The B and B is on the main road, so you will hear some sounds of cars going by.

Lovely atmosphere where locals and guests are all treated extremely well, it seems that most guests are regulars, some on holiday and some on business. The character building and the friendly staff create a very warm welcome and totally relaxing environment, and the prices are sensible. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would love to plan a return trip.
