We stayed one night in Tre Bentir to attend a wedding in a nearby hotel. Everything about the accommodation was just as we had hoped having read the positive reviews.

We were met by Sarah who was friendly and accommodating. The dorma room in the attic was very clean & fresh with wonderful velux windows opening up to reveal a prefectly relaxing and charming view. The linen was clean & fresh and the bed was comfortable. Because we live in a dorma bungalow we did not encounter any problems bumping heads on the ceiling as other people have reported!

Being able to help yourself to breakfast was a lovely relaxing way to start the day, and there were more than ample provisions left for us including organic bread, cereals, fruit juice etc (and the lovely biscuits!)

Our only regret - we couldnt hang around to enjoy the peace & tranquility for longer due to an early start back home the following morning, but we did have time to squeeze in a walk along the castle to the boat house and enjoy the fabulous views.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced short break where you have the freedom to explore and do your own thing without losing out on comfort and excellent facilities I would recommend Tre Bentir

I really loved staying in Tre Bentir as its different from the normal B&B experience. You are left to you own devices and the breakfast is all provided in the room. This means that although you don't get cooked breakfast, you can follow your own timetable, get up when you want and was generally much more relaxing. Also if you are in the middle of a trip involving a lot of B&B stays, its a nice change to not have a cooked breakfast. I don't know why more B&Bs don't work like this

The room itself is nicely done out in a modern IKEA standard, and I loved being able to sit out on the balcony and look across the estuary. The room also had little extra touches like high quality biscuits and lots of handwritten info on Laugharne which just added to the quality experience. The fact that the room was actually very cheap compared to virtually every else we stayed is amazing. A tiny thing to note, cos the room is a loft conversion, the walls of the room slope in a little bit, so if you're tall like me, you have to bend over occaionally to avoid bumping your head.

Laugharne is a fabulous place with lots of character. I didn't really care about the Dylan Thomas stuff before we arrived, but I found the boathouse and the views from it very emotive. The castle is splendid and there's plenty of place to eat and drink. A wonderful town all in all.

If you like to be left alone and to be completely free to do your own thing then Tre Bentir is ideal for you, own entrance own breakfast. We had a friendly and comprehensive welcome that told us all we needed to know and how to contact someone if necessary. The room was very modern , clean and comfortable (mind your head on eaves) with a great location next to castle. car park. and views from velux windows and balcony fire escape. Another room close by would make it ideal for friends travelling together or older children. Breakfast was in a cupboard/fridge, big choice al organic including a welcome pack of delicious biscuits. Two restaurants/ cafebars across the road as well as two pubs and an upmarket fish and chip cafe.
Beautiful Laugharne all around , no need to use the car . perfect.!

My husband and I drove all around Wales for over a week and wanted to stay in Laugharne for 2 nights due to its location in the Pembrokeshire Coast whilst also being close to Gower.

The price was great at £50 / night and being that there were no reviews, was a bit of a risk, but the rooms on the website looked new and so I thought it would be worth the chance. And it was!

Sarah has just started out doing the B&B thing and so the rooms are brand new. They are attic conversions, so you need to watch your head bumping in some corners, but that did not bother me at all as the everything else about the place was great.

The bed was the most comfortable one we slept in the whole journey, probably being that it was new. Everything was very clean and crisp, white and in Ikea decor. We had amazing views into the estuary with the castle hovering just above us. The skylight was great to look up at when the sun was shining, and we had our own balcony loooking into the garden.

When entering the home, it is a little gem hidden behind closed walls, with a beautiful small exotic garden and sun room to walk through on your way up. The entrance to the rooms is separate from the rest of the house and you feel as though you have your own apt. / flat.

I was happy not to eat yet another cooked breakfast, and be able to wake up whenever I wanted. There is a small refridgerator in the room stocked with juice, milk and bread, whilst also leaving cereals, organic tea, a kettle, toaster and brand new dishes to use. There is a little table to eat on in the room as well, plus a flat screen TV.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to others. Great location, room, and atmosphere.
