“An excellent B&B”
Reviewed 19 July 2013

Rose and Marge are excellent hosts, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The house is spotless and you will want for nothing. Great surroundings and very close to the village centre. A really good spot to base yourself to discover so much of the very scenic South Coast. Trty to make it to the attractive village of Lawrenny and the excellent Cafe where the two rivers meet.

I agree with most reviews here, but here is our review based on our experience. We were in a room on the first floor with great views. Unfortunatley the walls had very poor noise insulation and the residents in the next room drove us to distraction! We heard them on their mobile phone(the entire conversations) the television and and any conversations they chose to have. In fact any noises they chose to make. Our room had restricted height, and try as you may, you will bash your head. Men will have to sit on the toilet as standing is not possible. At breakfast we asked for poached eggs which were not poached but hard boiled. The walk to Laugherne village is very dangerous. Because of this we felt the price was poor value. Having said that it does seem to be the average in Laugharne. Value or not!

We are very disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay at keepers cottage,it is a great pity that you did not mention any of these issues while you were here as we would have gone out of our way to make things right for you,as you can see by all the other reviews,we do care about our guests and do our best for them and thats why so many keep returning time and time again And as far as the road into laugharne very sorry but we would have been unable to help you out with that problem.

We were made to feel very welcome & the accommodation was spotlessly clean. It felt like 'home from home'. It's a great place to base yourselves. We stayed 4 nights & went to the Gower, the National Botanical gardens & Saundersfoot & Tenby. A lot of variety right on your doorstep! Laugharne is a quaint little village & all the locals were very friendly. The castle & coastal walk to see Dylan Thomas's boathouse is a must! There are plenty of nearby restaurants - we enjoyed all our evening meals. You can't go wrong staying here.

Very friendly and welcoming. Spotlessly clean and brilliant catering.
We stayed three nights and despite the torrential rain had a really good time.
The room was well equipped with hair dryer and an iron and even a small bottle of wine on arrival!

We booked one night very last minute. Wished we could have stayed longer. Keepers Cottage is so comfortable and relaxing didn't want to get up. Spotlessly clean with crisp linen and well equipped en suite. Our room, one of the two upstairs, had panoramic views over Laugharne and to Gower beyond. The garden was the perfect place to sit with a glass of wine and the newspapers. Situated just a few minutes outside the main centre of Laugharne it is so peaceful but within easy reach of Laugharne's pubs, restaurants , walks, beach and castle. Lovely hosts and a good breakfast, what more could you ask. We will be going back as it's the ideal place to "recharge the batteries".

Room Tip: 3 letting rooms, the two on the first floor have the panoramic bay views, but in any event the garde...

From the moment we arrived we were provided with individual and excellent service. Afternoon tea was a delight served in the light and airy tea rooms overlooking the terrace and breakfast catering was at the highest possible standard. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ground floor room is larger

Keepers Cottage is the highest standard of B & B you could ever wish to stay in. Marj and Rose made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived, and nothing was too much trouble for them, they take time with all of their guests giving advice on places to eat and what to see and do in the area and are interested in what you have been doing during the day. By the time we left we felt part of the family. The breakfast each morning was huge. We shall certainly be returning.
