“Over the Estuary”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2014

a perfect place for Dylan Thomas live in. How he must have been able to write in solitude the gentle ebb and flow of the tides giving thoughts to all his words. The Boathouse is just as it was when he Lived there A walk back to Shed is a must.

“Beautiful views”

A pleasant place to spend a while. Boathouse offers tea overlooking the estuary, a lovely place even in winter.

“Residence of Dylan Thomas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

After a nice walk along the coastline in Laugharne, Wales one reaches the Boathouse where Dylan Thomas did most of his later writing. You then walk through the house with spectacular views and come out on a terrace overlooking the sea where a cafe serves very good light fare. There are a number of stairs involved in this place.

The spot for Dylan Thomas fans. Even with other visitors there you can look out over the estuary and feel the poetry of the place.

“what are they thinking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

Carmarthen county council ,who relish trip advisors comments on this truly wonderful location, have consented for a huge wind turbine to be located opposite this iconic boat house . I feel a great sadness that this scene will be changed for ever and visitors will be horrified that such a decision can be made in the name of progress and policy.
