“Good pub grub.”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Stayed here and ate in the bar. Comfortable room, fine ales, good supper (recommend the pie on the "Specials" board). Good place to stay if cycling or walking.

“Charming restaurant with delicious Food”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

Our party of four sat in one of the booths to eat, and the lady serving us was excellent. Our drinks arrived very quickly and our starters arrived not long after we ordered them. The portions are a healthy size so you wont go hungry! We still managed to squeeze in a dessert though!! I recommend the French onion soup for starters if they have it (it was a special on the day we went). My partner had it and I tried some and it was excellent. I recommend the lamb shank for main, very delicious and falls off the bone. and for dessert I recommend the flapjack crumble. Very delicious but not ideal if you are watching your waistline. Great food, and friendly ambience.

“Lovely pub shame about the beer!”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

This is an attractive pub with a nice bar and outside sitting area. However when we arrived it took about 15 minutes to get an acceptable pint of ale which was just that. Seems to have slipped since our visit last year.

“Locals View”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

We have lived in Knighton for 10years and have had meals at the Horse and Jockey regularly both as a couple and with a group during that time. The standard of the meals is very consistent and very good. Gary and Jackie work so hard and deserve to do well. I would recommend it to anyone.
