Since last visit the White Lion has undergone a refurbishment. As the sun was shining we ordered and sat out in the garden which is pretty sizeable. Sunday roast beef from the specials board was to be recommended - two nice thick slices of beef with a light yorkshire, boiled and roast potatoes plus a separate plate of vegetables - four or five diffent types all nicely cooked. The horseraddish had a good kick. Beef pie was perfectly acceptable. Too full for desserts.
