“Fab hol. Quiet and clean”
Reviewed 6 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

6 adults. Aged from 19-50. Geoff the owner was brilliant in all the correspondence. Chapel is fab. Met a 'young' man, didnt catch his name, who cuts the grass! Couldnt have been more helpful or friendly. We really came to this area for the 'mach loop' which we found. Only caught one plane through it. But thats how it had been all week. So bit disappointed but it didnt spoil hol. Couldnt have wished for a more enjoyable short break. Will be back.

“Beauty is skin deep”
Reviewed 1 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

The Old Chapel is charming and comfortably furnished, in a beautiful rural location that allows easy access to stunning walks and hikes, and has friendly neighbors who provided us with several great suggestions of places to explore.

Unfortunately, these positives were outweighed by maintenance issues that prevented us from enjoying our vacation to the fullest. There were issues with both bathrooms. The shower in the en suite drained so slowly that it overflowed, or nearly overflowed every time it was used. The shower head in the family bathroom does not remain attached in the wall mount, falling into the tub and spraying water around the bathroom the first time it was used - we had to run baths for the remainder of the vacation to avoid flooding the bathroom!
The biggest problem was the washing machine. We had chosen this property out of several options because it had a washing machine, which meant we would be able to minimize the amount of clothing we had to bring on our week-long vacation. Unfortunately, the washer was broken - an issue that the owner apparently had known about for some time - which meant that a full day of our vacation was spent first locating a laundromat (we finally found one in Newtown - quite a drive away) and then washing our clothes.
Losing a day of a vacation that had been been years in planning and saving for - and was a once-in-a-lifetime trip - was a huge disappointment. It was made worse by the realization that the problem was not an unexpected breakdown - which would have been understandable - but was, instead, a known problem that had simply not been taken care of properly.

We weren't aware of the washer problem. There is now a new one. They were advised before arrival that Alan who lives nearby would be on hand for any problems, and they had his phone number. He would have sorted any problems with blocked showers immediately. He would also have helped with pointing them in the direction of the nearest laundrette. He wasn't asked. We are sorry that they feel this way about things.

“No crying in the chapel in this place!!”
Reviewed 2 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Nice place in a beautiful area all tranquil and peaceful, even dairy cows outside grazing.
One thing you always want is clean towels and bed linen and these guys didn't let me down.
The place was lovely but there were some cobwebs about in the ceiling if that bothers you.
Needs a bit more love to make it 100% perfect.

Only 25 miles from the coast and a nice drive so recommend the property.

Thanks John,
It is super place as you say.
You're right.about the tender care required. We live a distance away, and the place is always let so we don't get there often enough. It's still great though isn't it? Thanks for the tip. We'll sort it,
Geoff

“Delighful”
Reviewed 10 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

The Old Chapel was a sheer delight and was really comfortable, spotlessly clean and extremely quiet. It didn't feel like a holiday rental as it was very homely. Very well equipped with everything thought off. The library was amazing with every genre catered for. It would be worth going back just to read some of the books. Thank you Geoff and Gill we will be back !

A great place for a stay on the west coast of Wales, The Old Chapel, has everything you need, and is in a very well located area with beautiful scenery. The owners responded to all enquiries promptly and with details. Everything was as described.
