Stayed for two nights during the Hay Festival and couldn't have wished for better accommodation.
Beautiful farmhouse and setting with the lake and swans. Our son and family had the self-catering apartment and we had two of the double bedrooms, all of which were beautifully decorated and comfortable; lovely extras with fresh flowers and chocolates in the rooms. Breakfast was exceptional.
Thanks Jess, looking forward to the next stay!

We only stayed for the one night on our journey home from holiday in North Wales but would have no hesitation in returning. We were welcomed by Jess and had tea and Welsh cakes in the summer house over looking the lake and watching the swans. The weather was sunny and warm which made the difference. Our two rooms overlooked the lake and were, to say BIG was no exaggeration. Tastefully equipped. The breakfast selection and quality would compliment a 5* hotel.ours There is an excellent and large residents lounge so somewhere to chill out.
Needing somewhere to eat on a Saturday night was a challenge but with Jess phoning round we were accommodated.

Looking forward to returning.

A beautifully decorated old farmhouse with luxurious furniture and fittings. This was a real find and Jess, the owner could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. We had a very comfortable room with a quality bed and we looked out over the lake and rolling hills behind. Breakfast was sumptuous to say the least and the Welsh breakfast a delight. We have never been to this area before and can thoroughly recommend it. Herefordshire and the adjoining Welsh border area is stunning and deserves a visit. If you need a B&B then Hindwell Farm is an excellent choice.
Next year we intend to return to really check out the area.

Room Tip: Make sure your room overlooks the lake.

Excellent B&B in a lovely area. We stayed here in March 2014 during lambing season on the farm which was an unexpected bonus. The rooms all overlook the lake and its birdlife. The breakfasts were excellent. The very scenic area contains many old market towns worth visiting, plus the Elan valley reservoirs. The owner couldn't have made us more welcome, a big thankyou to Jess for all the little touches that enhanced the stay.

Room Tip: All rooms overlook the lake, equally good.

We stayed in the apartment at the top of the house as part of a half-term break with the children. The accommodation was lovely, spacious, clean and the beds extremely comfortable. We were very impressed by the kitchen/dining room and the way the flat was decorated - it really is beautiful. The views from the apartment windows, of the lake and the resident swans and ducks, are spectacular. We decided to opt for the cooked breakfast each day downstairs which was delicious. We and a couple of other guests all sat at one table together which was actually very nice and as they knew the area, very useful for us! Jess is a very warm and friendly host and we were made to feel very welcome, despite our daughter setting of the fire alarm with her toast making skills... Jess recommended the Harp Inn for dinner which also turned out to be a very good find - log fire and fantastic food and beer! The farm is excellently situated for Offa's Dyke and Elan Valley. We would love to return and would recommend this B&B without hesitation! We wouldn't let R near the toaster again though.

Room Tip: Self-catering apartment at the top of the house is fabulous and spacious.

The owners at Hindwell have done everything they can to make this accommodation cosy and family-friendly. There are numerous little extra touches that show consideration for guests; many other rental property owners could learn from this young business.

We stayed in the flat at the top of the house, which was very clean and tidy; we had a superb breakfast each morning as part of the deal.

In short, the welcome provided was extremely warm and friendly, and we would recommend this property without hesitation.

Room Tip: The sleeping accommodation in the flat comprises of two double beds opposite one another in the same...
