I originally found this place on line, and was attracted by the 'hands on' approach - 'if there's a chair and you want to sit on it, please do'!
I have mobility problems and was able only to see the ground floor, although my wife was able to see the other floors. What struck both of us was how gloomy all the rooms would have been, lit only by oil or gas. Even on a bright and sunny day (we do get them occasionally!) the interior was very dark.
This really s a 'must see' attraction if you're interested in how life was lived 100-150 years ago.
