Found this by accident when walking through Welshpool in the evening. Initially put off by first impressions of it being a cafe but once sat down with menu on hand impressions quickly changed. Great choice on menu, even for vegetarians. Massive portion sizes- and every table gets a side of fries and seasonal veg, which would feed a person alone. Seating slightly cramped, but not unpleasantly so. Staff very attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant. Only criticism was the pricing. Considering the portion sizes the meals weren't ridiculously overpriced, but the drinks were rather expensive. Definitely a nice place to go if you don't mind paying that little bit extra for quantity!

Came across this restaurant by accident while walking through a fairly deserted town on a Friday evening. The food was well cooked, hot, tasty and plentiful, the salad was fresh and crispy. The staff were friendly and helpful and the wine list was varied. The restaurant was clean, the toilets spotless. In the upstairs dining area it looked like some of the original Corn Store ceiling beams had been restored adding charm to the space. It turned out to be an enjoyable Friday evening.

This is an extremely popular restaurant. I had the vegetable strudel which was with a bed of salad, the flavours were intriguing and delightful. The service was very efficient. Slightly more expensive than other restaurants at this level. I thought the practise of offering you more veg or chips just as the main dish arrived very welcome but a little eccentric. Would go back.
