“Lovely setting with spacious facilities”
Reviewed 30 August 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We enjoyed being off the road at the Haybarn...there are other houses nearby...so not a totally private location, but a quiet location. The facilities were spacious...so an excellent spot for a group of people to visit and relax. Very close to Welshpool and Powys Castle. We enjoyed our stay and would consider this facility again if we were to stay near Welshpool. Thanks for a good visit, Rollo.

“Quite remote great for groups or families”
Reviewed 30 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We stayed for a week and we're lucky enough to have great weather.
The barn is a brilliant size for large groups or two families .the open plan living / kitchen is really practical. The bedrooms are functional but not pretty or modern ( which we were happy with).
The garden is large but on a slope and there are stairs up to the barn - so may not be ideal for elderly or young people .
It is remote in that you need a car to get to Welshpool.
The barn has woods in the back and some good walks .
We loved our stay here .

“Lovely place”

This is a very nice space in a very nice place. It's down a private lane, the end house in a little hamlet of about 4 houses. I hired it for a long weekend, to bring my family together and celebrate my grandparents both turning 90.
The main living area is a huge open-plan space which takes up the whole of the upstairs area. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms downstairs. Whilst not exactly the lap of luxury, we found everything to be nice, clean and servicable. There was plenty of space for 8 adults and a baby. They don't have a cot, but they do have a security gate on the stairs, which is obviously very important when the living area is upstairs.
The owner, whilst not living nearby, communicates very quicky and effectively.
We had a lovely time.

“The perfect place to get away in the Welsh countryside!”
Reviewed 8 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

The Haybarn was absolutely perfect for a weekend away with friends. This beautifully converted barn had so much character and history, and was redone with the gathering of friends and family in mind. What I loved most about The Haybarn was the large open-space kitchen/dining room/front room that drew us all together and provided plenty of space for us to cook, drink, dance, socialize and lounge by the fire together. The Haybarn was also exactly what we were looking for when it came to location: tucked away in the quiet countryside but also within a short drive to town and several gorgeous hikes. Missing this wonderfully cozy space already!

“Best place for a cosy weekend with a fablous group of friends”
Reviewed 19 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Me and 7 of my friends rented The Haybarn for a long weekend in November and despite it being slightly wety and wild outside we couldn't have asked for a more perfect base.

The rooms below were exactly what we needed, but the real show stopper wasthe upstairs living space which managed to be spacious and yet cosy at the same time.

The fully equipt kitchen, big dining table, comfy sofas and most importanly the big log burner were perfect for out social nights in cooking, drinking, dancing and catching up.

I would go back again for that weekend with my friends in The Haybarn in a heartbeat.

Thank you

“Can't wait to go back!”
Reviewed 15 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The Haybarn was the ideal holiday property for our two family group. We arrived to find it clean with plenty of space for two cars or more. Our group consisted of adults, young children and teenagers and we found it homely and welcoming. The sociable, open plan living space allowed us to keep an eye on the children whilst preparing meals and the additional fridge downstairs meant we were able to store food and drink for all of us. The house was quirky with lots of character which suited us. The garden had plenty of space for the little ones to play and the secluded location was very peaceful. With the town and supermarkets within 5 minutes drive of the house we found it very easy to get provisions, the young children loved the nearby castle & ruins too. We arrived home today and have already made enquiries to book a longer stay next year, so that we can make further trips to the beach which is only an hour away and explore the surrounding areas more.

“Could be better.”
Reviewed 27 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This could be a lovely venue if some investment was put into the property as it seemed 'tired' when we stayed. A good lick of paint would be a start. We had to clean the kitchen on our arrival as it was still dirty and the fridge was not practical for the size of the place. All the rooms had cobwebs in and NO TOILET ROLL!
